Up in QLD and looking at taking the kids to dreamworld whilst we are here, just wondering if anyone has advice on discounted tickets etc as just looked and it’s $430 for a family for 4 just for entry.
Thanks in advance

that much?
no way
there is a package with whitewater world and sky tower, 6 months of entry for around $99 each.
Just did that on the Easter holiday.
Dreamworld is old and less crowded, at least I can ride on the roller coaster without queueing long.
I purchased through NRMA for a decent discount
NRMA seem to still have one of the better deals https://bluebenefits.mynrma.com.au/en/gold-coast/1-day-ticke…
Alternatively klook https://www.klook.com/en-AU/activity/2807-dreamworld-entry-t… (New to Klook? Use code NEWBIE10 at checkout to get an extra 10% off! *T&Cs apply - works out to be the same as NRMA with this discount)
Bookme have discounted specific day Mon-Thurs tickets for adults - https://www.bookme.com.au/things-to-do/gold-coast/activity/1…
Crazy pricing isnt it, a few years ago could get a family of 4 of HK disney land with 2-3 nights hotel for sub 3k.
and now Disneyland is $3k just for the entry + fastpass etc
$3K to stand in line all day, so works out to be $1,500 a ride? Gold star to Disney for milking customers for money with Fastpass.
That's a ton of money to stand in lots of lines.
It's Dreamworld we are talking about. If you want lines go to Warner Bros Movie World
Thats crazy expensive. More than Luna Park and even Disneyland.
And Dreamworld ain't no Disneyland.
More than Luna Park and even Disneyland.
1 day park hopper for 4 people over 10 at Disneyland for this Saturday would be US$896.
Thats crazy expensive. More than Luna Park and even Disneyland.
hahaha maybe go look up some Disneyland prices before making those claims and remember they are USD. $900USD to is about $1325AUD
Thats not true. Disney tickets are about $104 each for adults, or even
cheaper if you go to the right place.
Thats not true. Disney tickets are about $104 each for adults
LOL Yes $104 USD per person and the first date that is free at $104 USD is August.
So that is ~$155 AUD per person and we haven't even added all the taxes and crap the yanks do on checkout yet.
@JimmyF: Two adults and 2 kids comes to $404 and only $434 even with California’s sales tax. Look at what you get for the money…Obviously that is great value rather than Dreamworlds price. The currency aspect is irrelevant because my point is that Dreamworld is overpriced for the domestic market compare to Disneyland for its domestic market.
The currency aspect is irrelevant
LOL well you'll be paying with it using your Australian earned 'money'. So it is relevant. $434USD for your base tickets is equal to $640AUD. A single day at Disneyland costs 50% more than 6 months of access to Dreamworld!
Your point was Dreamworld was MORE than Disneyland and that is just simply not true.
Look at what you get for the money
Last time I went, I got to spend lots of time in queues and you'll be doing the same unless you cough up MORE money to skip them.
Don't get me wrong, Disneyland is great, but it is not cheap no matter how you try to spin it. Its a pure money milking machine.
Pretend you left to the car to get something for the kids and your wife (inside) has the tickets. Vice versa moments later with your wife
I did that at Sydney Airport customs with the boarding pass. Been getting free breakfast, lunch, dinner and 1 hour outside time daily since then.
The tickets are photo ID these days….. Doesn't work.
Klook sells dreamworld tickets. You can use Cashrewards with them.
Currently says you can use newbie10 to get 10% off. Better than nothing.
everything for 'kids' is expensive surely you worked that out by now esp during school holidays
Hijacked the thread much with your Disney rants?
Is Dreamworld even worth that much? I haven't been in like 30 years but I remember it being kinda shabby.
