Buy from Nike.com and Exchange from Nike Store? (Melbourne)

So I ordered this shoe from Nike.com and paid $10 shipping…but after reading the reviews (i know, after purchase), they may be a bit snug.

I'm hoping to receive them and then if they are too tight, bring them to a local nike store to exchange for half a size up…so i don't have to send it back to nike/pay $10 again for shipping…

Has anyone done it or know if its doable?

  • You should read their return policy before making the purchase.

    • I have, nike.com it is 30 days whether you worn the shoe or not…and they have specified that store purchases needs to be returned to store….but they have not specified whether online purchases can be returned/exchanged in store and because nike physical stores are not run by nike, i thought i'd ask to see if anyone know if it can be done

      • If the “Nike” stores are not run by Nike, you will not be able to return your online purchase to the franchisee’s store

        • Yes, but then the Nike app and Nike.com membership works in store too, so there maybe a link?

  • Returns are free via AusPost: https://www.nike.com/au/help/a/returns-policy-gs

Don't think you can return or exchange in-store for online orders. Ring your local and find out.

    • Thanks, i do know that returns are free, but i just didn't want to spend the extra time waiting for a new pair to arrive (this one is already taking a while) or make up to the free shipping threshold then return the items i didn't want…would be much easier to just exchange in store…so was wondering if anyone tried it before

Next time, just buy straight from the shop. I rarely buy clothing related items online because of the same reason.

        • yeah next time I’m definitely trying the size first in store…my lazy ass regretting now haha

  • +1

I’m pretty sure local Nike stores are owned by a franchise group so I don’t think so. Check out their website https://www.retailprodigygroup.com/

Edit: Nike.com ships from Europe so worst case scenario you would have to ship it back to them and go through a lengthy refund process

    • yeah, i know they are a different franchise, maybe i should just contact them directly and see what they say…wanted to know if anyone done it before though haha

    • yeah, the return > re-order > pay shipping again > wait for delivery and refund is what i want to avoid…i'd definitely make sure to try the shoe sizes in store for my next purchase

Nike recommends that you purchase a few different sizes and returns them. This way you gets free shipping too.

        • Yeah, definitely doing this next time
