lol rumors have been saying quite the oposite - the only model getting the absolute refresh will be there iphone 14 top tier model (eg. pro max) - otherwise the rest of the lineup is just charging much more than the 13 models for hardly any differences

Remember to use your $10 perks and buy giftcards from shopback for 2.5% cashback.

    • +2

Or ultimate gift cards that were on sale for 10% off recently…

      • I didn't want to store giftcards, haha

  • +2

    big props to JB

recently price matched a samsung odyssey to pccasegear. 719 down to 299. that same monitor today in store was 599 so that's pretty impressive.
now matched 13 pro max to telstra.

  • Looks like no option to add to existing Siebel account via Telstra Plus. Sad!!

  • Hi has anyone picked up their phone from JB and didn’t have a Telstra sim? Do they ask you to get one? Thanks

    • nope no issues. bought as normal.

      • Thanks as the store I rang I had to get the Telstra sim. So thinking online might be the watt to go

        • I went in store. initially I was gonna walk into telstra but JB was right around the corner so went in there and 10 mins later walked out with 13 pm. good luck! given the comments above you shouldn't have any issues buying online.

  • +1

Can't access live chat, anyone else having the same issues?

    • +1

yes, "WE ARE NOT ONLINE AT THE MOMET" is poping up!

      • +1

        Just keep clicking…it eventually works…

Getting an Apple iPhone 13 Pro 128GB for $1180 sweeeet

    Price match with JB- $1399
    Use $10 perks voucher - $1389

Combine with 15% off JB Gift card from TCN - $1180 whoop whoop

    • What is tcn gift card

      • Are TCN cards on sale anywhere atm?

    • I cant find this 15% off JB Gift Card. Can you link it?

      • +1

He would have been holding them since November 2021. The most recent sale for JB gift cards would be the woolworths ultimate gift cards at 10% off.

  • Quick question: JB Price Match - they send a link to pay - how long is this valid for before the price expires?

    • +1

click the link, it'd tell u. usually until midnite

    • +2

Better buy straight away, high chance out of stock soon

      • Yeah - thats the plan. Just was worried I'd buy the gift cards and they'd take a while to be sent through… not sure I want to risk it!!

  • any limit on how many gc we can use at JB? have quite a few $50 TCNs

    • I think 5 is the limit online - but unlimited in person as its just an eftpos card

      • thanks, but if we pricematch online, we have to pay online too, right. are u sure btw? I read the other day, there's no limit online neither?

        • yes correct - i assume you are price matching online because you are either too far away from a jb hifi or your store doesnt have them in stock? cause otherwise you may as well just go in store and collect and pay with unlimited gift cards

          • @swiggity123: not really actually, was working and couldn't leave my desk, so online price match was the best. there doesn't seems to be any limit with the gc btw, I paid using 15 of them :)

  • Finally bought iPhone 13 pro max from jbhifi upgrading from iPhone XR, was waiting for 14 pro max, but this price hard to miss

    • +1

14 pro max will be much more expensive - with a better camera, usb-c and slightly better specs.

      • Usb c next year

  • UGH, got to number 9 and "Sorry, we are not online at the moment"
edit: just had to keep clicking, it eventually worked

    • +1

      Gone for lunch?

  • $300 off the 13 Pro 256gb version too! Thank you 28 degrees price protection!

  • Just bought my daughter one in store at Telstra Toowong, Brisbane (pink 128bg).

No Telstra ID, didn't need to buy a $2 sim or anything, they just set created the account, license scan wouldn't work for about 10 minutes, apart form that pretty easy.

  • +1

Can combine the JB price match with the $400 bonus for taking up a telstra plan with them to get a combined discount of $700 off Iphone

    • are you able to expand abit further on this?

    • Is the offer $300 or $400
I called store they said $300

  • Online chat has just gone offline.
(I was at 15 min wait and had another 34 in front of me in the queue)

  • Can anyone recommend any good iPhone 13 Cases or Screen Protectors?

    • +4

grabbed mine from Kmart, not terrible at all. Quality is how id expect if I bought a case/screen protector from eBay but more convenient.

      • What was the price?

        • +1

like $10 combined, not really a huge gamble. limited stock however, 5-6kmarts around me in 20km radius and only one had good variety of stock.

      • +2

I reckon these are the bomb Bargain price and easy to get.

        • yeah that was my thought. I didn't wanna risk carrying this thing raw so drove to Kmart right after I picked it up from jb. And the kiosks in shopping centres that sell cases/screen protectors charge a pretty penny.

      • +2

I've got a ~$5 Kmart screen protector on my 13 Pro too, works perfectly. Also have a $5 Kmart silicon case for when I do use one, also great.

    • I always like spigen cases.

  • Am I crazy? There is no option to direct chat, the link in the OP direct me to the page, press on chat with us and the Help box show up, tried couple of option but they all result in email my local store.

    • same here

      • They probably got overwhelmed with the amount of people going in for the price match chat…

    • There's yellow Help button at the bottom corner, click it then type Price Match at the search box. Select "How do I contact JB?", then you will see Live Chat option.

      • Thanks, but i think JB turned off their online chat. the 'chat with us' link is unclickable

        • Guess they're officially OZbargained!

      • They disabled the "Chat with us" link in that window too

    • After the online chat died, I rang the helpline number and was put through to a store (not the closest but at least within driving distance). They price matched with no issues and knew about the Telstra deal. Had some stock as well.

      • Mine asking about if have a telstra service which I dont ( should have said yes), I still have a Telstra acc from years ago, at the end they decline to price match. After cancel and changed the color of my order at Telstra web store, I got blocked and got asked to visit Telstra store to show my ID.

Guess I wont buy anything today.

  • Anyone knows is TGG going to do price match with Telstra?

  • Long shot but anyone have a link for 256gb iphone 13? I managed to pricematch an iphone 13 pro 256gb but decided I don't need the pro. Hoping to swap links with someone

    • I don't have one - but I take it the links are single use only?

Wish i hadn't waited until the afternoon to try - didn't think they'd can the chatline altogether!

      • Go to store they will do it why wait for chat

        • I'm in iso and coughing my lungs up so chat is preferable.

    • Just go here and choose 256gb and outright, will have the discount applied and shown underneath the price: https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/mobiles-on-a-plan/a…

      Drops it to $1169.

      • Would prefer JB Hifi as I have an Amex offer I was hoping to use it on! $40 cashback on >$300 spend

        • JB should price match that I would think? Worth a shot.

  • Still no luck with live chat :(

  • I rang my local Apple store. They were happy to price-match, but said it would need to be signed up together with a 12/24/36 month Telstra plan.

They explained it because the Telstra deal says you can buy outright "When you add to an Upfront Mobile plan." and also it says "If you already have a service with us, you can buy outright without adding a plan.".

I suppose that's an online condition, not a Telstra store walk-in condition, so Telstra store seems to be the best option for me if not wanting a plan.

  • +2

JB is quick and easy but I had to follow the process below.

    1. Call 13 52 44
    2. Enter your postcode
    3. Don't select an option
    4. Once it times out it will go through to a sales rep
    5. Ask to price match, tell them your preferred model & colour
    6. Link is sent and you can pay online for delivery or click and collect
    7. Don't forget to use your Perks voucher or any others you have
    • step 3 - choose option 3 for computers, mobiles etc

But so much better than Telstra

      • No, by doing this you get put through to a store and they may not honour it.

    • Which store did you call?
I phoned two different stores, one said no straight away, another said I need to go to store in person to show I’m a Telstra customer.

      • The trick is to not get a store, that's why you don't select any options and they put you through to the actual sales team, not an individual store. Then when you get the link you can select any store.

        • I didn’t select any option like you, but still got transferred to the store based on my postcode enterred. If yoy don’t mind sharing the postcode you enterred.

          • @kin1106: Looks like it has changed!

Postcode shouldn't matter but I used 6000. I will update the steps below, this just worked for me. You should hear hold music and then the rep should be from JB sales, not an actual physical store.

            1. Call 13 52 44
            2. Enter your postcode
            3. Select 1
            4. Don't select an option
            5. Once it times out it will go through to a sales rep
            6. Ask to price match, tell them your preferred model & colour
            7. Link is sent and you can pay online for delivery or click and collect
            8. Don't forget to use your Perks voucher or any others you have
            • @4892: Still can’t get it to work. This time the JB staff says they would only price match if I sign up with a Telstra plan, but cannot buy outright.
If someone fortunate enough to get the price match link for iphone 13 256gb but don’t need it, please share to me if you don’t mind.

              • +2

@kin1106: Finally got it the forth time. I entered 2164 as my postcode according to the info below (by annajh1244)

    • +1

This worked for me, thanks mate!

      • Any chance I could have the link to the Pro that you won't need anymore?

    • +2

Thanks for the steps! Got one from JB

  • Ok bought the phone from Telstra online store earlier this morning.
What’s the process of cancelling this offer or refund.
Telstra chat tells me they can’t refund.

    • Why you need to cancel ?

      • Buy it again from JBHIFi on a plan

    • +1

Just refuse the delivery, it will go back to warehouse and means your order is cancelled.
I confirmed with Telstra online chat just this afternoon.

      • What just tell the StarTrack delivery person, we didn’t order it or don’t want it.
I was chatting with Telstra consultant via an online chat and they said if for any reason it returned such as if I’m not available to take delivery their will be a few associated with it and hence you won’t be getting full refund.
Has anyone returned an online Telstra order to Telstra shop?

        • Quote from my chat:
"Once the order reaches to warehouse and confirmation has been given.

          Your refund will be processed.

          Hope it helps?"

          Didn't mention any fees.

Wow! Just tried to buy an iPhone 13 Pro at Telstra in Doncaster. There were a couple of sales assistants free at the time. One of them checked that they had the phone I wanted in stock (which they did). I was going to buy outright, no trade in, no contract and I was told I would have to wait 2 hours to buy a phone that was literally right there in front of him because no one was available to sell it to me… seriously. I have a two year old with me so there’s no way I could come back but my god, what a hassle.

    • +1

Just go to JB Hifi and pay with gift cards. Save time and money.

    • +3

I had the same at Telstra in Southport. He checked stock for me and then told me it would be a minimum 45 minute wait. Wouldn't let me buy it outright without arranging an appointment so I just went to JB Hifi instead and got them to price match. Ridiculous

    • I went back in 5 mins after I posted this, caught another sales assistant who did it for me straight away. I was in and out with a new iPhone writhing 10 mins

  • Anyone knows whats the shipping company used and how long it takes.was trying with chat to cancel to grab with jb hifi but they said its already dispatched but cannot provide me with tracking. Cunning haha

    • They using StarTrack for shipping. 2-3days. This information should be available in your.
Did they say you can cancel or you can’t. Or can you take it to any of the stores and ask for refund?
      Can’t find any info.

      • They said it already dispatched in their end so they cannot cancel.

They said not to accept delivery and it will be sent back

Also mentioned that i can take to any telstra stors is sealed condition for refund too

Dont know if its worth the hassle for 5% less was planning to price match jb as i got 5% off giftcard

        • Would you be able to send us the screenshot of chat?

  • Called in store (wetherill park) - they now accept price matching via telephone.

  • Link for iphone 13 pro 256 pls
