  • Ram 8Gb or 16Gb?

    Title is different to description

  • Can we pick up to save on shipping if in Melbourne?

    • Yes

    • Hi cycleri3 ,

You can choose the in-store pick-up option.

Our HQ locate at Unit 108-110, 45 Gilby Road, Mount Waverley, VIC, 3149

      Cheers,
      BPC Team

  • Is the R3 equivalent to an i3-12100?

  • +3

That's some fairly cheap 1080p gaming. Once you buy a monitor and factor in shipping though, can't help but wonder if you might be slightly better of with some of the circa $1000 gaming laptops?

    • +6

Gamin on 15" is pain. Also you can eventually updgrade parts with desktop.

    • +1

Gaming laptop? $1000? Probably don't bother, I'd rather this PC. Only someone who absolutely needs portability should ever consider a "gaming" laptop

  • +3

Looks like great value for those on a budget. Cheaper than PS5 or Series X

    • +8

PS5 and Series X are more equivalent to a 3060 in performance, so they still remain better bang for back from a pure gaming perspective (as consoles always will do) - but this is great for all the other things a PC can do!

      • +3

On the flipside, PC games regularly go on deep discounts or are given away for free (e.g. Mass Effect remastered trilogy on Prime day in a week or two), whereas from what I've gathered console games tend to stay expensive.

        • +3

That is true, you can get some great deals on PC games, or even just pirate single player stuff if you're wanting to try before you buy. Technically you can game for cheap on console too if you just sell your games on after playing them - or all at the end to fund your upgrade to the next generation. Pros and cons as with everything I suppose.

      • The issue is PS5 games cost significantly more, and some require a monthly subscription for online play.

  • +1

Its a Zen2 CPU that's good enough for gaming.. can always upgrade to something faster in the future :)

  • +12

Just had a build completed by BPC .. just leaving a comment to advise that I was super happy with their service and quality!

    • +1

My build with them was last year but I was very unhappy with their service. I have posted about my experience with them before.

But that is quite cheap for a full system. So +

      • +1

Would be even cheaper without the cam

    • +1

I just picked one up yesterday for my son. Only took 4 business days to build.
Happy overall, I think. Pre-specified built system prices are definitely some of the best around… But not completely happy that parts (like the GPU) were substituted.
Also, definitely no changing or adding parts that aren't listed on the system's page!

      • Hope your son likes it :D

    • Cheers :)

  • +1

    Not bad price 👌

    • Thanks!

  • +1

I know the 1660S is last gen, but the 4100 may still bottleneck it, that being said it's fine for the price and it's AM4 so you have an easy upgrade path in the future.

    • +1

Would definitely bottleneck on path of exile lol. Quad cores always lag on that game.

  • Can you play DCS and Microsoft flight simulator with it, asking fo my kids..also F1 2022?

    • I have not played, but flight sim is demanding where F1 is not. Rig will play basic games ok, new AAA not really.

There is an upgrade path for CPU and GPU if you wanted that in the future, next gen GPU's staring in a few months, but only for high end cards.

      • Thank you beeze, will wait for a better one

  • +3

any 3060 or rx 6600xt gpu deals coming soon?

    • Hi! We will keep releasing entry-level gaming pcs but have not decided specific GPU model yet.

  • +3

Can we please have an ITX build @BPC Tech in any of the following:
Lian Li x Dan Cases A4-H20 Mini-ITX Case Black,
    Cooler Master NR200P Max,
NZXT H1 V2 Liquid Cooled ITX

    • +2

Won't be cheap. And something so small enthusiast you should just build yourself…

    • Hi ar7ist ,

We will look into the H1 build, it's on our schedule :)

  • +5

Just a year ago, the 1660S was being sold for similar prices lol

    • May be like 6 months ago

      • Yea, prices have taken a major dip even in recent weeks

  • +4

Have just ordered for my 13 yo as her first gaming rig. 👍🏻

    • +1

Excellent choice, good balance between performance and price :)

    • Does this come with activated windows?

  • Is the motherboard supporting bifurcation mode?

  • +4

Taking some of the posted deals on ozbargin within the last 6-12months I think you can get better value still.

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/nhCgzf

    CPU—> AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz $229.00 *MWAVE
MOBO—> MSI B450M MORTAR MAX Micro ATX $67.00 *BPC
    MEMORY—> Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $77.00 *MWAVE group buy
STORAGE—> Silicon Power P34A60 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $49.00 *MWAVE group buy
    GPU—> ASRock Radeon RX 6600 8 GB Challenger D Video Card $299.00 *BPC/MSY
CASE—> Deepcool MATREXX 30 MicroATX Mid Tower Case $39.00 *ANYWHERE really!
PSU—> Corsair RMx (2021) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $119 *AMAZON AU

    TOTAL: $879.00

For 180$ more you get a better CPU (6-core), GPU (better performance per dollar, more VRAM, faster clock, etc) and PSU (650W, modular)!

If you cut out the video card and put a 5600G in place of the current CPU you'll get an even better deal too. 250$ CPU total through MSY instead of the CPU/GPU total of $528 with a potential for upgrading the GPU later with the current PSU. - Pretty close to what I was thinking - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/674200

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Dc2BTn

**They do not have Deepcool MATREXX 30 case listed so I chose the 40 series but kept the price at 30 series since you can still get that.
***I also don't personally know if the case has clearance, something you have to check

    • +1

where can you find that asrock 6600 for 299? The cheapest 6600 currently is 359, and for that model is 399

      • Taking some of the posted deals on ozbargin within the last 6-12months

Just over a week ago posted on Ozbargin 23/6 via MSY and 24/6 BPC Tech

Over the next 60 days there should be some good GPU deals. Gotta be quick though.

        • I understand that price will go down again, but it's not fair to compare an active deal to expired ones.

          • +1

@Masticccc: I feel there's 3 main categories regarding deals: Need it now, Need it but can wait, Don't need it but may still pull the trigger. For this reason I'd say historical lows and recent lows are important, especially given I (for example) tend to shop for PC parts over a few months when I'm getting ready for a build.

          • @Masticccc: For the video card, that was within the last week of this deal posted and from the same supplier. I think that parts fair!

I'm not taking aim at BPC, I just happen to see this build and posted here. I will say I have noticed lately I've seen a lot of PC builds and refurbished laptops on ozbargain deals sold for more than they're worth considering the parts/specs included. These aren't really deals!

What I'd be looking at with Refurbed PCs
            * <$350 (-minus video card)
            * 16GB memory
            * 500GB SSD

The refurbed I purchased ~5 years back came with a HDD, 8GB memory and a HD6*** series video card for <$200.

What I'd be looking at with Refurbed Laptops
            *<$400
*Screen resolution of HD+ (1600x1200 16:9) minimum, FHD preferred
            *8GB memory, expandable to 16GB
            *500GB SSD

You can get fairly good great PC builds for ~$1,000 and Laptops for <$1,200. It's a lot better now than end of 2019 to mid 2020. And that is why these deals need to be better for refurbed tech and new PC builds.

            • +1

@cobknob: I don't think your opinion is wrong at all, just lack of context. If a person doesn't know anything about pc pricing in general and see your post, they will have the misconception: "Oh this part is cheap recently, so it's gonna cheap in the near future". Well it's correct when you take the situation into account, but misunderstanding alone.
About the refurbed PC, I agree with you, it's just many ppl have to buy new and hate 2nd hand

              • @Masticccc: I can understand the lack of context, and thats why I try to be thorough in my comments.

These are meant to be deals - some of them are not, they are appearing on the front page too. For eg. the video card RX6600 that links to the 2 posts (MSY/BPC) was a good deal at the time, for 299$. Thats front page, but some of these builds and many refurbs are not front page and are not deals. I'm not moderating the front page, and I really don't have any interest too, people should get some value out of the tech they buy. Theres nothing worse than buying something and finding out its sh** or its only going to last 6xmonths.

  • How does one add windows 11 to this?

  • +1

Their SSD has no DRAM cache, despite being NVME. Also, the RAM is CL22.

  • Hi BPC,

Can you contact me regarding the damaged glass panel for order BPCINV00305728. The replacement panel sent was not the the system case I purchased. I posted here because I'm failing to get a response from your support team.

    • +1

      Hi Subfusion15,

No problem let me look into it for you, sorry for the delay, half of our Tech Team tested positive and stay at home right now.
