July Desexing Discount Offer

$50 off all Cat & Dog Desexing Procedures In July + 50% Off Royal Canin Neutered Food Range.
We strongly recommend desexing your pet due to the positive behavioural and health benefits of the procedure. In females, desexing will eliminate the chance of unwanted pregnancy, stop heat cycles and will reduce the risk of mammary cancer developing. In male dogs, desexing can reduce their desire to roam, fight and territorially spray, as well as eliminates the risk of testicular cancer.

You should get your pets desexed as young as possible, as young as the vet or service recommends. It makes pets much more sociable in the long run and avoids a lot of undesirable behaviour, like spraying and aggression.

    • What about all the recent evidence regarding hip development issues on larger breeds?

      • RSPCA cites a study that suggests although it slightly increases hip dysplasia in some dogs, that early desexing still reduces euthanasia due to hip dysplasia by a third, which suggests that although early desexing increases hip dysplasia it might result in a less severe form of it (bottom of page 7 https://www.rspca.org.au/sites/default/files/website/Campaig…)

pets desexed as young as possible, as young as the vet

Considering you've got to goto uni to be vet, the youngest vet will be at least 22. Probably a bit too late to desex your pet by then.

Unless you have a pet tortoises.

      • Unless you have a pet tortoises.

        Parrots ?

      • Can I call my dog tortoise?

    • My breeder told me to not have my dog desexxed before 18 months, while the vet agreed its best to wait for large dogs to ensure correct bone development etc she said 12 to 14 months is the preferred age. BUT she definitely did not recommend anything earlier then 12 months. My dog is a chow chow so not even one of the larger breeds out there, just a big boy.

  • Is there a price list for the desexing services?

  • can we apply this service to humans?

    • Australia tried that in the late 19th/early 20th century, it was called the "eugenics" movement and was a global fad and very fashionable until shortly after the end of WWII.

What if my dog hasn't decided it's gender yet?

    • yeah its Victoria forgot everyone is gender neutral. lol.

      • By choice or by birth?

What God has created and given by birth is not optional. Unfortunately for some falsely believe otherwise.

What if the male dog is born homosexual? This statement still applies?

Is your experience with undesexed gay dogs that they are couch potatoes, are amicable, aren't very territorial, and don't tend to get testicular cancer?

      • No experience so far, hence the question.

My mate seems to have a bisexual one, humps both male and female (well, basically everything that moves or don't move).
