PlayStation Plus Deluxe TL₺460 (~A$40.64) for 12 Months (+ $10 for Wise Physical Card) @ PSN Turkey (No VPN Required)

3090

After spending few hours trying to figure out how to buy the Turkish Ps Plus Deluxe subscription which is about 1/4 of Au pricing, I finally managed to get it.

1) Create a new Psn account (https://www.playstation.com/en-tr/ps-plus/#subscriptions) and select Turkey as the country and use fake address generator to create a Turkish address (https://www.fakeaddresscopy.com/Turkey/). After creating the account go to the (Your information) in setting and edit residential address and add a street address, which is not asked during the account creation.

2) Sign up for a account at (https://wise.com/au/) and add 460 Turkish Lira into the account and you also need to create a Virtual card in the app to pay for the subscription. I tried few different Au bank cards, Revolut and crypto.com virtual card and they all failed for the payment. Edit: $10 fee for physical card, if you don't already have one.

3) To pay for the subscription you actually need to add the card via account management on a ps4 or ps5 console otherwise payment will fail. Also note that when adding the card as a payment method you must use the same Turkish address you used when setting up your PSN account or the process may fail.

4) After adding the card via account management on a console, purchase the ps+ subscription directly from the console for it to work 100%. That's it, enjoy!

And also you can stack the subscription for upto 15 years.

  • any downsides to this?

    • +2

Not sure mate as i just got into console gaming but as far as i have compare both Au and turkish subscription, they both got same perks.

      • Hi OP,

I successfully pulled this off, however does our Wise account need to consist of the same Turkey address as our Turkey PSN account? I submitted my aussie address for the Wise account information, bought some Turkish Lira into the account, created a digital card and used that card as payment method on console (as you've mentioned; browser did not work) while entering the same Turkish address for PSN account for the payment method on console.

as someone who has like 4 psn accounts, the only downside is having to deal with having multiple accounts.

      • Dude i have like 9 xbox accounts lol tell me about it

      • i have 50 pokemon go accounts and that is annoying enough. I dont think i could handle inputting text thru a game controller everytime.

      • +1

Dude I have like 1 million Gmail accounts, but Meh…

Games are region based though. Meaning your existing save files will not work on the games from Turkey.

Also the save games that you played from Turkey will only work while u have that ps plus turkey. If u switch to aus, it will not work. Trophies also region tied.

So if 5 years later, you decided to quit ps plus tyrkey and buy a game in aus because it's cheap, you may find as if your save file disappear.

Also you won't be able to buy promotional discounts, because u need psn gift card of that country.

Also the free games may be different or less.

      • trophies are region tied..?

        • +1

depends on the game, but AU and Turkey will always share the same list.

      • +4

Australia and Turkey are in the EU region as far as the game regions go.. so not an issue.

        • I think you are right, but other points still an issue

          • @[Deactivated]:

            • trophies falls under the same point as above. Not true aus users
            • won't be able to buy promotional discounts: OP mentions how to buy ps plus on the store but the same process goes for everything. I've done this already with a cryptopay (not crypto.com) card and it works for any game, whether discounted by PS+ as a subscriber or not.
      • Will I be able to play online multiplayer games with my mates with AU account if my account is TR?

        • +5

Yes, online privilege is shared with all accounts on PS. Just play with your AU account once you add your TR account with PS Plus.

      • This is partially correct. You can just download games from Turkey and play with your main AU account, earning trophies there and saving there.

        • @DrScavenger - how do you do that? I didn't know you can log in to your PS with multiple accounts

          • @BarginHunter128: You need to designate the console as your primary console…somewhere in settings. Then you can swap users and play using any other account. So you will use Turkish account only to download games.

            • @DrScavenger: i dont think it works like that, isnt it subscription bound to the accoun that has ps plus.

              • +3

@iDavidn: So long as the account is set as the primary console (enabled for offline play) any other accounts used on the system are able to access all games and Plus while using that system.

      • cant u just set Turkey ps account as primary and play the games on ur main account?

    • would also like to know if there is any fine print issues that can get your account banned?

    • +2

I have a mix of accounts from moving counties a bit and my biggest grievances are that the saves of your other 'primary account' don't upload online and the USB backup function on PS5 is a chore. You'll also lose access to other games if you let previous subs on your other accounts lapse.

    Great first post!

    • +5

      Thanks mate.

  • +4

I will only upgrade my ps plus to the top tier when they actually have all ps1, ps2. ps3 game libraries avaliable to play on PS5 if that is not avaliable its not worth it too me.

my ps3 is one of the first ps3s it plays both ps1 and ps2 discs as well as ps3 so I will be using this untill then.

    • +38

There is only one turkey here.

  • Damn great deal. Congrats on managing to figure out payment! I signed up for a Hong Kong account last month and bought gift cards to pay for PS+

    • +1

Yeah, that was the hardest part. Tried many different cards and virtual payment apps and finally managed to pay it via Wise.

      • Did you try Up?
I got it working for Netflix and Disney. Keen to see if PS rejects it…

    • Is PS+ HK any good? Any good exclusive games to play?

      • I just got it cause it was one of the first regions to get it, and I wanted to play some games early.

  • +8

I can admire the amount of effort you have put in mate but dang thats a lot of stuffing around compared to how easy it is to get turkish xbox gamespass going.

    • Seems like it's less steps, as I just did the Turkish xbox game pass.

      • less steps for what - game pass or this?

I definitely didnt need to go and create a wise account and load it with lira to pay…

  • +8

BRB moving to Turkey. A lot easier

  • My mate in the UK told me about this last weekend after reading the same on the UK version of Ozbargain.

He stacked 3 years worth and was over the moon. Its a great hack.

I gather getting the virtual card may take some effort as Sony have already blocked some companies that have your location details listed, but once done as above then should all be OK for the time being until Sony close this loophole.

    • +7

Not true, Au and Turkey are both EU region

    • +1

      No you are not “rite”

  • +1

So all my current games on my Australian account, I wouldn't be able to play because I have a Turkish account?

So confusing, do people change accounts every year?

    • +5

You download the game with your Turkey account then switch to Au account and play like normal.

      • Did this work for you mate? As in download in Turkiye acc and play in Aus acc?

        • +3

Yeah I've been doing it with a Hong Kong PS+ Extra account, no worries.

      • +2

Yeh but if I let my AU PS+ subscription lapse (or UK, in my case) then I won't be able to play any of the games i've downloaded from PS+ in the last few years… I will only have those since creating a Turkey membership….?

    • +1

You can still play them on your Aus account, unless you've got them as a free game from PS+, then you won't be able to play them.

  • How about if you copy the save game files over with a usb stick from your Australian account to Turkish?

    • +1

it works as both are EU region

    • +1

You cannot copy saves. They are tied to a PS account.

Just keep playing with your AU account. You can access all games with it.

  • Thank you OP

  • +5

    subscription for upto 15 years

$600 and 15 years is a big commitment. PS5 stock shortages might have resolved by then.

    • +2

Heck, if we are lucky, we may even get a GTA 6 teaser trailer by then!

      • +7

I think you meant GTA 5 Remastered Ultimate Definitive GOTY Edition.

    • +2

Waves to you in 2037 on my newly realeased PS8.

  • Hmm, so I can't actually add Turkish Lira to my Wise account without Turkish ID.
    Nevermind, the app worked fine.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Another Turkish subscription to add to the list that I’ve activated

  • +1

So it's $10 for a physical card to get a virtual card. Making it $50.64 AUD

    Worked a treat though.

    • Should be mentioned in main post description

  • Don't forget to update your wise address to your Turkey address.

    • When you said update the address in wise, if I update it to Turkey address, everything will be defaulted to Turkey? Can you actually create a specific Turkey currency and tie the Turkey address to it?

      • +1

That's a global setting. You can change it back immediately after your purchase.

        • +1

Last time when I was playing with the address setting in Wise, I changed to an address to another country and back to my Aussie address, Wise emailed me immediately and wanted me to provide them with a photo of my ID AND a selfie of me holding the ID or they’ll suspend my account.

So, I wouldn’t recommend changing your address more than once if you don’t want to go through the hassle.

    • It worked for me and I didn't have to do this

  • I have a physical Wise card already. Doesn't seem to work with that.. can you confirm?

Is there a way to get a virtual card when you have a physical on already?

    • +2

Yeah you need to have a physical one to create a virtual one. You can create as many as you want in the app.

      • Can we create a digital one for a specific currency?

        • Nah doesn't seem like you need to though.

          • @theguyrules: Then how will we select which account we pay from? atm I have AUD USD and TL accounts with Wise.

            • -1

@ar7ist: Not sure, I only had money in my TL account so thats the only one it could charge. I assume itll pick from the currency the card is being charged from though.

      • Sorry I'm late but I live in Japan and applied for my card by paying with yen. Now I can't seem to change my country anywhere, it says Japan and the options are greyed out. Do I need to wait for the physical card to arrive before adding/changing a virtual card? Or am I screwed?

  • +5

Games are also significantly cheaper all around.

    https://store.playstation.com/en-tr/pages/latest/
If you want to have a check on the web store

Dying light 2 is 314 tl ($27.46) vs $65 for the Aus store

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: Chaotic Great Edition ps4/ps5 (game plus season pass) is 511tl ($44.68) vs $111

Alan wake remaster is 146tl ($12.78) vs $30

Pre-order for the The Callisto Protocol is 599tl ($52.44) vs $99

Pre-order for the last of us part 1 is 699tl ($61.19) vs $124.95

  • Mine is saying card is no longer valid. Hmmmm

  • +1

Thanks OP. Worked like a charm. Only had to spend $10 more for a physical card as I never created one before.

    • +1

Yep. I ended up doing 2 years, so $90 all up. Pretty great.

      • Dumb question but how do you stack :)

        • +3

if you're in the app just go to manage subs and buy again

        • +1
          1. Go to Playstation Store in the console.
          2. Go to "…" (More)
          3. Go to "Subscription"
          4. Select your subscribed membership level
          5. Select "buy again"
    • +1

Its a shame that they are charging $10 for a card now as i didn't pay anything but it was a while ago.

  • +2

Good find with Wise - signing up to Turkish Netflix the hardest part was the payment so this would probably work for that too.

    • Wise didn’t work for me with Netflix Turkey, but Revolut worked.

      • How did you do it using Revolut?

        • Asked support to provide me with the credit card, then I just fill it with my Revolut card details.

  • +2

If only Sony made things easy like MS.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Great post! Do you know if an ING card would work for payment?

  • +2

Are there any fees or downsides to getting Wise?
Or is there an alternative for payment besides using wise?

    • Only downside is needing to buy a physical card for $10.
