Is a 15.6in screen too big. There is this Acer at $495 at HN. $50 Hn Gift card included. I dare say it finishes 30/06/2022. Not sure what OW and JB have atm, or whether they will price-match.
Good thing about Acers is if the screen breaks they are @ $160 to $240 to repair (sometimes more - Depends on availability etc)
Do you need a laptop? Sub $500 desktops will be a whole lot faster and better than a sub $500 laptop. This is a very decent option, or practically any other of FuseTech's posts.
If you do need a laptop, keep an eye out for any of the refurbed model posts that you see here every so often, those will be able to watch YouTube just fine and potentially light gaming (depending on what exactly you mean as light gaming).
