Recommend a <=$700 Laptop Replacement

Mums old laptop got a bit of water damage so it is time to replace.
She uses it mostly for email and web browsing. She only ever really uses max 3 tabs in firefox.
She likes to use it unplugged around the house and sometimes on the sofa, so a decent battery life would be good.

I'm trying to avoid the situation where her user experience is slow or held back because of weak processor/parts etc.

Any recommendations?

    Sounds like mum would be better off with an ipad.

    Refurb Intel 8th Gen Latitude or a Thinkpad, and maybe throw a new battery in.

    I have a Lenovo Yoga that I got for around $700. It does the job especially if you don't use any big programs etc.
