Barista at cafe I go to has these beans, and I keep going back as it's the best in the area.

Think I'll try them out to see how their beans go through my machine.

They're not the cheapest of beans going around at the moment but Double Roasters have excellent beans

Hey OP, please correct the coupon code from EY22 to EFY22 above. I tried EY22 several times and then read the description :) Thank you

Oops! Fixed, sorry for the trouble.

I'm a long-time customer of Double Roasters and their 'Flight Path' (blend) is still my #1 recommendation for domestic espresso machine use. Thanks, OP!

    • Do you drink with or without milk?

      • +1

In this house we enjoy milk (macchiato and flat white) and non-milk (espresso and long black) drinks.

Having a versatile espresso blend means I can leave one grinder dialled-in for whatever I'm running in the espresso machine. I can then leave my second grinder for pour-over, Delta-/Aero- press etc friendly single origins.

I got a 250g bags of Flight Path and Double or Nothing for $28 delivered. Not bad.

    • Arrived today. Roast date of 20/06/22.

  • Even though the sale doesn't include pods, don't bother with their pods, tastes like water, bought the big pack with each one of the flavours and tried one of each then threw the rest out, rather use supermarket ones.
As for the beans, bought a bag of Flight Path after tasting a coffee at a local cafe made using these beans. Coffee from the cafe tasted great, but the bag I received after ordering online wasn't as good, bit subtle in flavour (using milk based drink), comparing to AirJO's enterprise blend, I'd say it's quite similar but less flavour.
Keen to try double or nothing or queen of Marrickville, but after my experience with the pods and not receiving any response after I gave my feedback, I'd much rather stick to AirJO, where their customer service rep Dan is awesome and their dispatch process is very quick, from ordering to receiving is usually within two days.

    • I rated Queen of Marrickville a lot higher than Flight Path. Not sure if you wanna give them another go but that may be a difference maker. Perhaps they used a different blend in the cafe?
