Hi I'm going to Indonesia in a few weeks, I'm hoping to get a few gaming items, don't mind looking for old Gameboys or a Gamecube. Is there any chance they have these at all? Or any other nice items I can find maybe PS Vita's or 3DS consoles?
If so where would i be able to buy them? Do they have like a Gumtree or Marketplace FB?
We lived in Jakarta and Northern suburbs but travelled all over - for a few years a few years back. New, 2nd hand, refurbed and fake videos, games and consoles are available on many street corners and almost every mall. The urber large multi story shopping sardine city like complexes where there could be 50 stores on 10+ levels selling the exact same gear as every other product you can imagine. Seeing 10 stores in a row selling the same thing…it is actually difficult to choose where to shop. In amongst all this are the genuine stores…our Nikon and Seiko were each repaired/refurbed for the cost of a decent family meal. One of the brats picked up a Sony PS thingy and 20+ games for less than AU$100, supposedly a bargain I was informed.
When you arrive, ask your guide/driver/concierge for the multi story shopping malls… be prepared for the crowds(post covid??), getting lost and amazed. Enjoy the car parking…that is an adventure experience all of its own.
Yes also, they do have online marketplaces, the site names escape me in the fog of age. Mr Google search and translate as required.

I'm not sure if they will be playable on your Australian devices though (especially PS2 and older). A lot of the games were pirated copies, not sure if that is still the case nowadays with more modern consoles.
