Accidentally broke NBN optical cable connected to NBN indoor box. What are my options regarding repair and cost? Did little research, what needs to be replaced is the Field Assembly Fibre Optical Connector. Costs only $5 but by the looks of it lots of other expensive tools are required to get the job done. No idea what NBN would charge for this repair. If anyone has any info regarding repair that would be highly appreciated. Looking for cheapest option available. Thanks for helping in advance.

As simple as that ? Hope so ! Thanks and appreciate!
How'd you break it? :)
Long story short, when I was trying to relocate it. Pulled too hard on something lol.
Not that I 100% agree, but technically the NBN NTD is NBN infrastructure and requires a registered cabler to move it

You can buy new already terminated, fixed length cables on eBay though if you wanted a diy fix for your broken cable though
Appreciate your feedback and info. Thank you.
Be ready to pay up big
How much ?
Nothing. I get NBN fibre fixed all the time when logged as faults with the ISP. If the tech ever asks how I say mice or I don't know.
All the time? Leave it alone!
@Morien: I'm not referring to mine. I work with fibre a lot.
Awesome. Thanks !!
Mine broke. The guy came the next day, didn’t ask how it broke and fixed it for nothing.
Thanks ! That’s Great !
I think you'll need to contact your ISP and lodge a fault. Just say the optical cable is broken without saying how.
