I’m not buying for now, I’m buying for 15-20 years down the track, so it doesn’t really matter how much it drops or rises this year or the next, what matters is what it’s worth in 15-20 years when I start to live off that nest egg. And history has shown that over time, the market trends up over the long term. So as long as you’re diversified enough(ie. broad market indexes), should be fine in long run

@huffboy: Not exactly diversified if someone put all their eggs in the Japanese stock market. Hence why I said, if you’re “diversified enough”. Not just within a singular market, across multiple global markets.
