Just wanted to find out if cashrewards is valid with hotel bookings that are 'book now pay later'? or is it only available for the upfront payment from say agoda website on the day of the cashreward promotion?

Ditto - I've got a couple of pending Accor refundable bookings (both of which I'm going to cancel - one to rebook for a longer stay, the other to change hotels). They'll stay pending until after the stay occurs…
Thanks so they’ll honor it even for book now pay later ones and then will be pending until after you’ve paid/stayed (I guess approved few months after this )
I always thought it’ll only track and honor if paying at the time of booking
Agoda paid out pretty fast when I used them. Booked in February for an April stay and got cashback a few days after I had checked out
ANZ bought the company.

From experience you need to pay in full at time of booking for the cashback to track and be paid.
If you choose to pay at the hotel Cashrewards etc have no way of knowing it’s been paid and that the booking was used as booked.
I asked CR this question a while back and was told it will only work if paid in full at time of booking.
Maybe reach out to them to see if this is still the case.
It will show as pending but be rejected if you choose pay at the hotel / pay later.
With all accommodation merchants, provided the initial booking is made online and nothing is altered after tracking, payment can be made either online at time of booking or at the hotel itself after/during your stay - no issues at all. The only exception is any accommodation bookings that have a higher cashback rate for Max members will require payment online with the linked ANZ card in order to get the higher rate. If you pay at the hotel, it defaults to the lower standard rate. Hope this helps. Any issues at all, feel free to reach out :)

Hi TA just following up on this in terms of altered booking you refer to dates correct? If I wanted to change the card im paying with from the one used initially on booking would this affect the cashback?
I've made several hotel bookings in the last month for a holiday in a few months and the transaction has tracked but remains in 'Pending Approval'. The cashback amounts recognised are calculated off the full cost and I know I've only part-paid for a couple of these bookings. You'll have to wait 90-95 days after you've completed your stay before the amounts get approved.
