Can I port-over a number to Amaysim *after* completing the set up?

I purchased one of the 12-month Amaysim SIMs a few weeks ago. The SIM has be set up and active for a couple of weeks now, but I haven't used any of the data or made any calls/texts with it.

Now I'm wondering if I can port out of Telstra and use my number with my already-active Amaysim SIM - essentially, overwriting the phone number Ive already been given by Amaysim.

Is this possible?

    Always assign a number to port in later when buy a SIM from Amaysim. It still allows you to choose a new number.
