I have a Toshiba 16GB that failed and know that many people on the internet have reported failures. I won't touch Toshiba sticks.

    • Dunno about flash memory, but Toshiba HDD are really bad. Every toshiba HDD that I had died or got bad blocks within months. My friend works for a notebook manufacturer and he told me never to buy toshiba hdd. All hdd returns are for toshiba drives.

      • My toshiba 250 gig hdd is nearly 4 years old and still fine. Tosh branded hard drive in my tosh laptop that is used every day

    • the HN ones? mine seems to be needing to be formatted.. i cbf to do anything about it

      how did yours die?

    • My 16GB Toshiba USB drive is as good as dead too. Can only format 8MB out of the 16GB. I've tried every partitioning/formatting tool under the sun and still no joy. Lasted around 6 months.

  • Does anyone have the read/write/IOPS of this stick? or the part number to research? Thanks

  • saw these the other day…very tempting but…i already have the 16gb toshibas for $18 last time at Harvey Norman

USB 3.0 prices are actually not bad these days.

USB 3.0 Silicon Power and Patriots from Msy and PC shops are quite affordable and def quicker.

    • Yes, Lexar 32GB JumpDrive S73 USB 3.0 Flash Drive is only $4 more at Officeworks.

I have always found toshiba products to be 1st class. toshiba hard drives actually have lowest rate of failure in the industry. i saw the independent stats on this recently.

    • Link?

  • I bought 4 gig toshiba sticks a few weeks ago at HN for $1. Cheap enough to be disposable.
