Since the last code update, we are now getting more and more duplicated deals, i.e. the deals that have already been posted before. I guess it is a bit pointless to post something that has already been posted before — one should actually vote for the previous deal instead. And you know the deja vu feeling when you see something that you have seen before…
So
Search Before You Post
Everyone should know where the search box is. Please check whether your deal has already been posted. If the same deal has already been posted, then do not post it again. If you really like that deal, then maybe you should go and vote for it.
All Dups Will Be Deleted
When duplicated deals have been detected, they will be deleted within 24 hours. I will also (try to) notify the poster the reason for deletion (it is a dup!)
More Prevention Will Be Coded
I will also add some prevention in the code so that whenever a duplicated deal link or coupon gets posted, it will present a warning. Well, another item for my todo list.
