Looks to be a good price
Can't vouch for it as I prefer the full system :)

What does a factory reset following firmware upgrade do? Found the rear surrounds to be very, very quiet unless you change their specific volumes to +6 on the soundbar menu settings
A lot of people on Reddit in r/Soundbars/ found that the latest firmware didn't fix their issues (mostly the surround volume) but only after a factory reset did it all come alive.
Interesting. Agree with the less than perfect sub. Hopefully some explanation to the benefits of update then reset . Cheers
Does the Q870 have the same sub as the Q950A. Cannot seem to find sufficient info online.
Different physical size. Not sure on that actual speaker inside but these are the physical dimension:
Q800A:
Width 8.0" (20.4 cm)
Height 15.8" (40.1 cm)
Depth 15.8" (40.1 cm)
Q950A:
Width 8.2" (20.9 cm)
Height 15.8" (40.2 cm)
Depth 15.9" (40.3 cm)
Thanks. Though, hard to tell what the performance would be based on the physical dimensions.
@Must Buy More: Additionally, subs are also very dependant on room acoustics/dimensions.
From what I've read though, the Q950A sub is quite competent compared to this Q870's "just adequate" sub.
I believe It's a q700a there never was a q800a released here
724$ using GG price beat.
Do you guys think its worth it when compared to q950 priced at around 1150$ ?
i would like to know too

Decent price. I just got an open box of this for $620 delivered. Sounds is ok for a soundbar. Sub isn’t thumpy or room shaking but is smooth.
For those wondering what the Q870 is, it’s the Q800 soundbar + SWA-9500 wireless surrounds (which have upfiring speakers).
Make sure to upgrade firmware (can do wirelessly using the SmartThings app) followed by a factory reset.
