Best Way to Remove Waterline Calcium Build up on Concrete Pool?

Hi all

Its winter and my pool levels have dropped with the lack of rain and I thought it may be a good time to address my chalky waterline.

Its a concrete pool with blue glass bead inlay which I would rather keep away from the suggested method of removal being pumice stone.

I understand also that calcium carbonate and calcium silicate require different methods of removal, CC being easier with an acid.

Question is, is it possible to gerni either of them off as with the water level low, this may be an easy way to address them.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Spray on vinegar then brush with the pool brush. It's like brushing your teeth!

If vinegar doesn't move it then step up to some dilute pool acid (Hydrochloric acid) - 10% in water should do it.

I'd avoid the pressure washer. You might find the build-up is stronger than the grout.
