  • This game is so fun. Great buy at this price. Perfect for people who's played a lot of trick taking games. Hearts, 500, Bridge tec.

    • Would you recommend for 2 players?

      • It's a minimum of 3 players. Lost Cities is a fun 2 player card game. Codenames Duet would be another solid option.

        • Pretty sure the box mentions two player variant

          • @docians: I played the game a bunch and didn't realise that you could do 2 player. Just reading the rules now and you use a AI 3rd hand which is interesting. Weird that they put 3-5 players on the box though.

        • i played lost cities… not for me. i found that its a relatively mindless game unless i am missing something.

for 2 players, our gotos are Everdell (has up to 4 players) and 7 wonders: Dual

      • +1

Yes! They have a two player version using AI character called Jarvis. I have played it as 2 player and it's an excellent option

      • I've played maybe 4 hours total of 2 players (which is a whole lot of rounds). It is a little more tiring though (since captain has to think for 2 hands)

Defs worth it imo. Easily hours of fun until you get exhausted, which is a great thing for a board game.

Simple to learn, hours of fun.

It is more of a thinking game though, constantly thinking and pondering in silence even though it's not required to be quiet.

I recommend Deep Sea though, it's a more polished game.

Deep sea variant is also on sale for $18.46. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08TX1GGSH/ref=sw_img_1…

    • This would be the one to get for an extra 46c

    • Agreed, just bought this after owning original for a year and its miles better.

      • Havent played either game, can you elaborate on what makes it better please?

        • +1

Missions in original are just "X person has to win trick with Y card"
Missions in deep sea are vastly more varied, eg "I will win no tricks with a Pink card" or "I will only win tricks with X,Y or Z conditions"

If they are the same price, then buy deep sea, no question.

          • @Nalar: can deep sea variant also be played with 2 players?

            • @Grale: Yup it's functionally exactly the same, there's a 3rd "robot player" that is controlled by the capitan. It presents its own challenges and is as fun as normal play.

    • I second this.

It's more polished and fun, which is what you want, for basically the same price.

  • Thanks!

  • Great game

  • OG Crew space version seems to be out of stock at amazon for $18?

Snagged the deep sea version instead.

  • Get the Deep Sea variant, it's a polished update. Only improves on the game for not much more.
