½ Price Luv-a-Duck A L'Orange Duck Legs 500g $7 (Was $14.50) @ Coles

450

Seeing sween64 post made me look for Luv-a-Duck. I couldn’t find this item on either this week or next week’s catalogues and unsure on when it expires

Luv-a-Duck’s A L'Orange Duck Legs are cooked long and slow with a sweet orange sauce. A French classic!

These have long expiry dates, stock up if you like these.

    • Can't they be frozen?

Sometimes when considering bargains you just have to let it go.

  • None in my local Coles but found plenty at Coles at IKEA Rhodes, just bought one leaving plenty for you guys

I didn't realise IKEA had its own Coles.

  • Bit sad and grey last time I had this, but you get what you pay for!

confit legs beats this hands down for taste.

confit legs are regularly half price at Woolworths.

  • Have always wanted to cook duck. The Sunbeam 4 in 1 Air Fryer Oven that was posted ozb, arrives tomorrow. Might give it a try with duck 🤔

Do yourself a favour - try it with the confit legs rather than the orange-flavoured version.

        Shall do. I'm already drooling.

heres my goto - open the pack of confit legs and scoop up all the white duck fat (you could use the jelly/gelatin part too but i find it too watery) and then fry up some chopped up potatoes with the fat and some seasoning. then stick the potatoes in the air fryer for 20mins. once theyre done, take the potatoes out, duck legs in for 15mins, and you have one delicious duck with duck fat potatoes meal, veggies optional

          • @hongerwonger: Damn son 💦

          • @hongerwonger: Showed in stock at my local, but non left. Was there at 8am this morning. Ended up getting the duck breast.

Once I seared, I decided to keep the fat and used it to cook some rice. My life has been a lie. Amazing stuff duck is.

Now I shall keep a constant look out for confit legs. Definitely want to try what you noted.

@Dreamcast: ah if you're cooking rice make sure you chuck all the gelatin/jelly part in there too - that stuff is where the flavours at! the duck breast is very nice but i never see it on sale
