Word of advice, if you can spend $700 on this, spend $150 more and get the 5. At least iPad OS 16 won't be half-baked on the 5. A lot of features are left out for the air 4.

    • What price do you think the 4 is reasonably worth it?

own an ipad air 4 and feel bad as ipad air 5 has twice the ram with M1 chip, apps will be less optimized my gen 4 now

    • 5th Gen is priced from $929?

    • Thanks for the advice. I know plenty about Android tablets but Apple…. not much.

      • I used both, wont go back to Android tablets. Simply so much more smoother and longer software updates. On the other hand, I would stay away from iPhone.

        • I really have no use for tablets in general.

          • @Clear: Wait don't you have like 10+ Android tablets?

            • @reloxation: No why?

              • @Clear: Always posting tablet deals mate, thought you would have a few lol

                • @reloxation: True. I have a couple but only ever use them as extra displays for my laptop or airport terminals.

Yep, do not get 4th gen air. Get 5th gen with m1. Still salty apple is already leaving me out of updates on a device less than a year old.

(Stage manager multitasking is not available on anything less than M1. Amazing that every desktop OS has managed window managed multitasking with far less powerful chips than the a14, but apparently apple can't!)

      apple can..
      they just choose not to…
so that it incentivize people to buy or upgrade to the M1 devices.

      • Yep that's always been the case with Apple.
I remember siri when it first rolled out couldn't be applied to iPhone 3g or 3gs
Had to buy a 4 (I think that was the right gen or it could have been just after)

      • yeah of course they can. pretty funny how they've sent out craig to the wolves (as they did with CSAM) to explain how multitasking requires the power of an m1 chip swap memory which air 5 64gb doesn't actually use, according to them, undermining the entire argument.

  • got this at OW for 650 from JW computers price of 684
