Watch youtube videos and learn that way. This game will teach you how to play a game about being a mechanic.

It could help in that you'll be able to see what different parts look like and where to find them. Maybe better than youtube in that you can move the camera all around.
Will you be able to strip an engine and rebuild it from playing this? First part, sure :D.

2021 Car Mechanic sim just went on sale on Steam for $30… this for free probably a great start to get into building sims…
Sadly hardly sim like… no price gouging, no arguments over not fixing what was asked for, no stink of oil or petrol in the car for weeks…. but it is free….
