Depends if the Asian store ones are imported directly or from the distributor here.
They are made differently.
Isn't Nongshin made in Korea? Maggi tastes different depending on the country of origin.
Yes
Saw a pretty cool recipe last week that I wanted to give a crack -
Chop up garlic
Add Nongshim seasoning
Add an egg
Kewpie mayoWhisk/mix.
Make noodles to taste, pour noodle water and noodles together into your mix. Mix and enjoy.
My friend's agency did a project with nongshim to make this wheel of recipes.
Awesome!!
spicy, spicy, but very tasty

Crack an egg to make it mild.
Up until last few weeks, could be had cheaper from local Korean outlet for $4 (normal price). Noticed it went up to 4.98 today.Chinese grocery store nearby was $5 normal price as well. Woolies $7
Yep loaded up for $4.50 two weeks ago.
Sorry…most are nowhere near a "local Korean outlet" or "Chinese grocery store nearby".
Still my favourite noodle though.Aldi stocks Shin Ramyun but in packs of 4 instead of 5.
Used to love Nongshim Shin Ramyun but they changed a few years back and couldn't stand the new version, only ever got it from asian grocery stores, switched to Paldo.
Paldo Kimchi also is much better, real kimchi not the dehydrated crap Nongshim use.
Does anyone else find the Nongshin and also the Indo Miegoreng at Coles/Woolworths, tastes a bit different than buying ones at the Asian grocery stores? I think it’s a difference in the noodles
