  • For $10, why not… thanks OP.

  • Will get one if still available. Thanks.

  • Thanks

I bought one of these a year or so ago, happy with it, seems robust. Even fully packed the zip has held together (i.e. hasn't split open).

  • Are there any zippers or compartments inside?

    • +1

From memory no zips inside, only like 6 small fabric pockets inside (3 on each side), enough space to put pencils, small packs of nails/screws etc).

    • +1

I got one of these yesterday.

No zipped compartments inside although there are a couple of open ones.

      Worth ten bucks though.

    • +1

No. There are 5 pockets inside (2 big, 3 small, no bottom type if you know what I mean)

      • +1

        So sleeves rather than pockets?

        • +2

Yeah there's 3 along one side and the two larger ones are at either end. The larger ones aren't as stable (as the bag collapses at the ends when it's zipped) but I find them useful to store smaller items like the measuring tape, screwdriver bits e.c.t and stuff rather than items that you want "standing up" like a spanner or screw driver

          Edit: clarified a few things

  • +1

Looks good, just worried about the branding. You know, the Calvin Klein thing…

    • +5

Don't worry, Stanley's the bloke who fixes your dripping tap, not the bloke who sells you on the idea sheilas want to know what name is on your underdacks…

    • +1

why worry about the branding when you only spend $10.

      • Though this would be an ideal gift for someone called Stanley.

        Or even Stanley's trimmer brother…

        • +1

Yeah I found a sandwich in the work fridge called Ted. Made me laugh…

    • I guess you could use duct tape.

  • Limited stock in metro Melbourne.

  • I have one of this to replace the traditional tool box and its been great in the year I've had it. Definitely feels alot more than a $10 bag (I paid $15 and thought it was a steal).

  • I bought Click&Collect, though it took 3 different stores (that had stock) before it would accept my payment.
It's to replace the very sharp cornered, little metal tool box I have in my car.
Assuming I can keep my tools safe inside zipped compartments, I'm hoping this will be a lot safer in a car accident.

  • Thanks OP! Got one!

    Yeah all in

  • +7

Even better deal if your name is Stanley

  • Thanks !

  • +1

    Thanks, got 2.

  • These are great for ten bucks but probably too flimsy as a tool bag. Great for storing stuff in the boot of your car or something like that.

  • Thanks OP. Got one at Fountain Gate

I got one of these at the regular price and I'm really happy with it. I've used it to store the tools I'd use the most when working in the mines. It's really quite sturdy, I've been able to toss it on the back of a bus and cart it around with me underground.

It gets pretty wet sometimes where I've worked so a lot of people have the water proof bags. This one isn't waterproof but it usually just gets a bit muddy which hasn't been an issue. Just wipe it over with a rag.

It's actually good quality though, my tool bag is heavy. I've got metric/imperial sockets, heaps of screw drivers, hammers spanners and sometimes even the drill sitting in there and it works fine. I've also got a pricey metal kingchrome toolbox but it doesn't store anywhere near enough and is a bit on the small size.

The shoulder support does kinda suck, it doesn't have heaps of padding so it does dig in a lot when you've got a fair distance to walk. The handles on the other hand are actually awesome, really well padded and are comfortable so I use a bit of both. I still use the shoulder thing a lot.

The outside pockets are good but I'd only store things that feel secure in there or that are of low value (like markers or pens that have the pocket clips) unless I was using an item a lot and didn't think I'd loose it.

The zip is study and has not one felt like it was going to break. I'm honestly amazed at the quality of the bag for the price. It's not something I ever really thought about until I saw this deal as it's just worked really damn good since I bought it so hasn't come across my mind.

It's pretty obvious what this fits, you don't have to worry about the zip not closing. Ideally it'd have another 3 pockets on the other side or a divider in the middle but it's really not too bad at all. If you want something to store tools in the back of the car with this has done a good job of that too.

  • Can this be used as gym bag ?

  • 19 left at new Pymble store.

  • Been hanging for this so long finally got one.

  • quite a lot left at Gladesville when i got mine

  • Got one in Ballarat, plenty in store but they were not labelled with an item ticket or price tag.

  • Bought it through Click&Collect at 11am, notified at 1pm as ready for pickup, went to the counter at 2:30pm and got it.
I've always wanted a small soft shell toolkit for my car, so I'm really happy with it.

  • Got mine Bunnings warrigal rd Moorabbin had some left.

    • +1

mentone has some ……near the tool bag section but not on the shelf, in boxed on the floor ….

      • Yep Tool section, mine had to look for them, then pulled them out…..

  • +2

Cheap and looks decent, but the craftright bag is this price every day of the week. Slightly shorter but a bit wider, and also has good reviews: https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-340mm-tool-bag_p58210…

    • 2 cents for the pockets on the outside, and not having the CRÄFTRIGHT logo on it is priceless…

      • +2

I know, how embarrassing for anyone to be seen saving money on a tool bag, now to go and buy a hilux!

    • +2

Yeah about 200mm difference in space though which is significant for basically the same price…

      • Yeah fair call, hopefully it let's people put it into perspective somewhat

  • Went to bunnings and found the bag was quite small.

    • +1

Did you open it? It's bigger than it looks

  • Thanks O.P

  • Cheers OP

  • For anyone in Gladstone, QLD, they're in aisle 8. There's three boxes of them (about 20).

  • Thanks OP. Picked up 2. Sold out in mine and 3 others nearby.

Wait. Bunnings delivers? Since when ?

    • My first delivery was 08 July 2021 delivery fee was $10.00 my total cart minus the delivery fee was around $25.00

      So maybe just recently

  • +1

I don't suppose anyone could be so kind as to post a photo of the main compartment (opened)?

  • +1

Just use a coles bag.. that is what the tradies in my area use

    • +1

      😂😂😂😂

If a tradesman rocked up to my place with his tools in Safeway or Cole’s bags he wouldn’t get into the front door….😉

      • +1

You're gonna need a bigger door.

      • +1

Lmao to be fair it was an easy job

  • +4

I didn't need this at all. I have tool bags already I told myself. I could hear my wife's voice as if from a far distance "you don't need it, you don't need it!"

    So I bought one.

  • +1

Thanks OP, anniversary gift sorted 😄

    Just kidding

Actually, ill ll use it for kid's swimming lesson / beach visits.

  • Would this bag be suitable to carry a couple of ozito battery drills with a charger?

    • yes

  • +1

Thanks, bought six bags. One tool per bag along with the needed accessories. Cheers

    • mine was cancelled. Ordered from other Bunnings (Geelong North) + delivery for extra $10.

      • received today. thanks

  • Now waiting for store to call and say out of stock!

  • Ordered on Sunday morning. Cancelled by Bunnings on Monday morning (out of stock).

    • Same as me.

  • Still plenty of stock at Frankston. Hard to find as they are on the display outside of the tool shop. Seem to be comparable to the Ozito bag they used to sell for $20.

  • Site marked OOS Tuesday morning, still 10 in stock Tuesday afternoon after I took 3. Rothwell.
