3.5mm audio microphone (minor brand) via Officeworks, $25
USB Microphone (Logitech Brand) $30 delivered from LogitechShop
Logitech is recommended.
is there anything else out there? i'd love one that i can attach to my headset.
Attaching to a head set would be a little difficult, as there are so many different headsets out there.
There is a desktop mike from logictech, which uses the USB port.

ok thanks guys.
it might just be better for me to buy a USB headset instead of just a USB mic. the headset will allow me to have the mic closer to my mouth.
wouldn't i need to keep the USB mic close to my mouth?
Microsoft LX3000. Buy it, get cashback. I use it for gaming and video chat — good sound quality.
I would also suggest the LX-3000. I got one the other day and the headphones and mic are both great quality. Dell still has them for $29 shipped.
USB audio is a standard so they all work everywhere. For talking to people quality isn't much of an issue either. A mic for recording songs is a different thing entirely.
Basically get anything comfortable that you don't think will break (or is so cheap it doesn't matter).
