Best Value for Money Laptop - Budget $500

Looking to buy a laptop for my wife for work. Only needs it for basic Word docs and uploading/compiling photos.

Not to fussed on whether it’s new or a refurb.

What is my best bet to pick up a decent one.

Similar thread last month. There are some new laptops under $500. However at this budget I'll rather go with 3-5 years old Dell Latitudes or Lenovo ThinkPads. For example,

Dell Latitude 5490 i5-8350U, 16GB/256GB/14" FHD $499

Spend an extra $50 you might be able to score a ThinkPad T480 with i5-8350U on eBay.

Perhaps a 2nd hand Business Grade Dell Latitude or Lenovo Thinkpad.
