Have that. You are still a bit restricted as to what apps actually can move to the USB stick. An extra 4Gb would be amazing though.

        • Agree, no doubt the new model will be more hopefulluy.

          • @G-rig: Flash is so cheap too. It's not like memory, it's storage. Probably would be less than a dollar or two to have had 16 or 32GB

            • @hamwhisperer: agreed, would nice to have the option of an expandable sd lot. 64-128GB pretty cheap these days.

              • @G-rig: Actually def not expandable - the way Android and Google TV works with expandable storage is a wild mess.

I actually have a good hub and a good USB stick in mine and it STILL is awkward to work with or doesn't work at all with some apps.

32 to 64GB of flash would be perfect, prob just 32GB

Also it's 2022 and linux (Android) is getting modern, apply some basic filesystem compression to the system too.

                • @hamwhisperer: Just was just saying it would be nice.

As far as storage it's probably better to stream music/movies these days, or from a NAS etc. I only use the GTV storage for a few apps. It's easier in general to use a TV's storage via USB HDD plugged in, but i'd prefer just using the GTV outright as the TV's built-in Android TV interface is a bit rubbish in comparison, but I'm sure you could still use it for some apps.

                  • @G-rig: Yes, Google Chromecast TV is not like Andriod phone you have to store a lot on the device itself, just apps.

  • Bought one $10 off jb perks and $10 off commbank. Good deal.
