I'm looking to buy a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 256GB upfront this month and looking for the best deal.
I'm not quite sure how the trade-in deals work, but don't believe I'd be eligible or getting much back as I only have an S9+ 64GB.
The JB Hi-Fi $399, $79/Month over 24mths is the only deal I can find currently. I would prefer to not opt in for a new phone plan as I'm satisfied with my $25pm plan currently, but not completely opposed to it if it's a comparatively good deal.
It's also worth noting I will be overseas from next Monday till July. It would be nice to have the new phone by then but it is not a must.
Alternatively, I can wait and purchase an EOFY deal (while I'm overseas. If it's in-store only I can get family to help me out) - if it's expected there will be better deals later in June. I assume I would not be able to participate in any trade-in deals during this time.
Worth noting I'm not a student and don't believe I'm eligible for any of the EPP deals.
What do you guys think; pull the trigger now on what's currently available or wait for a better deal?
took Samsung up on the trade in pre-order program for the s22+ coming from my s9+ (the S22 Ultra is a big boi and tbh felt a little too chunky)
basically just don't send your phone to them and you should get a trade in bonus (if they have one).
I think my S22+ came to about $1180 after everything was done including the noise cancelling headphones.
Honestly it's been great, haven't had to carry around a charging brick for months. Just jump on one next time it comes around.
TBH if you're not using heaps of data i'd buy it outright and pair with the Boost $300 plan.
