Looking for a cheap padlock with fingerprint.
Looking at this one currently, has anybody had experience with using it and is it any good? Or is there any others that people can recommend?
TIA

He rates Bilocks pretty highly (despite being able to pick one) and they're an Australian lock company.
The area this will be used in has surveillance cameras and won’t have many things of value in it
Why bother if it doesn't have much value?
Because it’s just annoying if it gets stolen for any dumb reason. It is going to have textbooks stored.

I just ended up ordering this instead

Not sure why you're looking for a cheap padlock. Cheap is not a desirable attribute when it comes to padlocks. (Mind you expensive is not necessarily a good attribute either, especially when it comes to Masterlock.)
there's probably a very narrow use case. for example, my end of trip facilities are very secure, requiring swipe card access. but I wouldn't exactly feel right leaving my bike unsecured, and would appreciate the mild deterrent effect of at least having some kind of lock on it. but having said that a pincode lock has served me fine.
Yeah that's fair and makes sense. (Seems consistent with OP's comment above.) If it was for something like securing your work clothes in a locker room in an end of trip facilities then I think any lock is probably secure enough for that purpose.
My bigger concern here is actually not being able to legitimately unlock it. I'd rather spend a few more bucks to save on frustration and ensure it's got a decent print reader lest I be standing in a towel trying to get at my clothes in the locker room example
Hi,
Have not had experience with them, but quite a few videos from lockpick laywer have convinced me not to try .. unless the item / site being protected is not very valuable.

To be fair, i don't think there are many locks he can't break .. literally and figuratively.
Cheers
