Does Qantas Flights Need Pre Departure COVID Test?

I have a flight departing tomorrow evening for Canada.

The Qantas website says you may need a COVID test. It also says check if your destination country needs the COVID test. I checked Canada doesn't need COVID test for fully vaccinated travellers. I am fully vaccinated.

Just wondering if I need to get a pre departure COVID test for the flight?
If yes, then when and where can I get it done quicker and cheaper?

    Starting April 1, 2022, pre-entry tests are no longer required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. You must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada.

    Doesn't seem like it but follow those and they'll tell you definitively. Also if you got vaccinated in Australia then make sure you have your International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate handy. This is different from standard Medicare one and has a QR-code thing on it for verification.

      Yes I have International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate handy.
      Also installed ArriveCAN app and updated all information.

      My question was does Qantas airlines requires COVID 19 test for travelling in their plane?

        Airlines don't mandate testing requirements, the destination countries do.

        The pre-departure testing requirements, including types of acceptable tests and documentation required, are set by the countries you are travelling to and transiting through.

        If Canada do not require testing then, you should not require testing. However, call Qantas to confirm.

          If he calls Qantas now he will miss his flight because he'll still be on hold when the flight departs

    I believe there is a chance Canada may test you at random, even if you are fully vaccinated. Travel Canada Arrivals page here

    Upon your entry to Canada by air or at a land border crossing, the border services officer may notify you that you’ve been randomly selected for a mandatory arrival test.
    As a fully vaccinated traveller, you can travel to your destination, including on connecting flights, without waiting for your arrival test results (if selected for testing).

    you need a 4th booster to fully vaccinated
