Good game, but unfortunately controls/game play is obviously tuned for consoles and not translated to PC keyboard/mouse well. So that was a bit disappointing.

Should be fine if you have an xbox controller to play on PC with yeah?

well I guess, if you can and like console controllers. I was never a console player though and I do not like playing games with a controller, so for me it was kind of a bummer. Still liked the game in general though.

Also a great price for the game, forgot to write it in my original comment.

if. they aren't cheap. playing with a controller also makes it feel too easy, as they just have auto aim. ironically, one of the most lauded games of the last decade falls short in the gameplay department.

        • Considering a decent GPU was over $1k until recently $70 for a controller isn't awful.

People are spending $500 for custom keyboards…

          • @Caped Baldy: every game makes use of the GPU

keyboards are used for the vast majority of things on a computer

70 dollars for a controller you probably won't use for anything else is a bit steep, all things considered.

            • @[Deactivated]: not every game, vampire survivors doesn’t need a gpu and does use a controller ;)

      • I gave up after an hour using the controller, how could a keyboard be worse than that

It'll only be a matter of time until this game is free on the Epic store. It's already happened with GTA V

    • I like your way of thinking, patience with single player games becoming free :))

    • But GTA V released almost 10 years ago…
Only been 3.5 years with RDR2.

      Might be waiting a while

      • True but to be fair, GTA V has been re-released 3 times on 3 different generations of consoles and PC.

If I recall correctly, GTA V was free on Epic Games about 2 years ago, which means 8 years after it was first released.
So that translates to you have to wait till at least end of 2026 before it becomes free. Hopefully you have the patience of a ninja.

  • Interesting how the last few years it is cheaper on get games on console rather than pc.

Good lord this game has held value well - feels like 84 years since release.

not as good as the first game, but still good. not deserving of all the praise it receives for the story, it's a basic western, told well.

Controls are interesting to say the least on PC, though it isn't unbearable by any means. Good price for this game.

Great game, 100hrs in and still enjoying it. Got sidetracked hunting and fishing.

Playing it with a xbox controller on PC on my TV. Looks amazing at 4k@60hz on Max settings.

  • So at 75% off its still 33 dollars?

Great game but should be hitting the 20s surely.

    • PS and Xbox versions have, just not PC version.

    • Under the old Epic deal of a flat $15 coupon it hit $30, but yeah, they're not big on discounting titles as quickly as the used to on PC.

I've been holding out for God of War, 5 months on it hasn't seen a single price drop.

      • Seems like those AAA games with good reviews (unlike Far Cry 6) won't be discounted in the first 12 months.

  • Do people actually play the online version of this game?

    • Yes people play, but it's not overly popular. Majority of the community is no more, mainly caused by lack of support by Rockstar, and hackers/modders

  • Boah

  • Currently replaying now on PC. Great game as long as you know what to expect, it's very slow.

  • Oh good god I have sunk SO much time into the console version of this game. I think its a fantastic story, immersive open world and great for gamers like me who are maybe not the fastest at aiming and shooting (its very forgiving). I'm also one of those people who will do all the side missions so after a few months of playing about 5-10 hours a week I am just over 70% of the way through. Point is, plenty of bang for buck here.
