[Solved] Kayo / Binge Shared Accounts with OzBargain Member "Kedaking" - Account Closed??

Hi, just want to check if anyone else is having issues with their shared accounts for Kayo, Binge, Paramount + etc with OzBargain member "kedaking"

I paid for 6 months upfront and now just over a month later I have no access and it seems he has deleted his OzBargain account. He's also not responding to messages on the mobile number he gave me. I fear I have been stitched up?

Anyone else in the same boat?

Is their any way OzBargain moderators can help us out?

    Looks like you've been stitched up and no there's nothing anyone can do if you willingly sent someone money.

      There's so many for 1 year upfront…I even saw one for 3 years upfront!

      Because a 6 month kayo sub goes for what, $30? People aren't going to chase each other up every month for $5 lol

      Yep I paid for apple one and Disney 1 year upfront- thankfully no issues yet * knock on wood *

      Also did for Nintendo online but canned it when I sold my switch

    Why did you pay upfront for a monthly subscription service to a person on the internet that has no affiliation to the company running the service?

    Doing the dodgy and now it's come back to bite you…Like all dodgy deals it can back fire and you need to take that into consideration when you pay your money.

          Problem is your "kedaking" account, the one I used to purchase the Kayo/Binge from you, is closed and I had no idea you are now known as "vinnychase". Were you planning to tell all of us who paid you?

          I also called you on your phone number which you gave me in case of any issues, and you are not answering????

          • @billy_bob: all of my I guess 'customers' were able to find as was the first commenter of this thread so I didn't feel need to inform people about the change I expected it be seamless and for many people it was.

    Hoping mods can blacklist dodgy operators like this. We don't need this shit on OzBargain! I have bought countless gift cards form other OzBargain members, often for 100's of dollars, and NEVER had a single issue.

            @brandogs: Guys, I have PM'd vinnychase, and not getting any response. Also why would he close down his kedaking account without telling any of his MANY customers??

          I don't think any dodgy shared kayo accounts come with a guaranteed service agreement with minimum call back times

              @billy_bob: I've run shared accounts on here before..sometimes issues happen.
              You can't expect 24hr phone support and if you want that, feel free to pay full price direct via kayo.

              At least you've made if pretty clear for others in the future if they should bother with you though.

      Well, I thought any account sharing is a “hack”, and not ethical and against ToS (someone else can look up the legalities).

      Would have thought people wanting a piece of the action are going into it, knowing it’s a risky “business”.

      Typical recourse is getting all 🔥 up or bikes. Aka gumtree dramas.

      You are entitled to your opinion, but like I said, I also run shared accounts and have given my personal number to people so they can contact me if any issues.

      And I only resorted to posting in the forums because I could not reach kedaking/vinnychase, and I was missing the footy game, so yeah I was pissed off.

    Issue now sorted but I missed most of the game that I was so looking forward to watching.

    FYI, I also run shared accounts and have given people my personal phone number to sort any issues as soon as they happen (no issues yet though).

        You are obviously not a sports fan! I missed most of the Collingwood vs Hawthorn game trying to get this sorted, so yes I was pissed off!

      It's minimum $25 pm, this on top of all the other subs, they can really add up.

      Kayo 3 screens is $36, but that only has AFL for me. I also follow EPL Football (soccer) which is on Optus $15, A-League Soccer on Paramount+ ($10), Champions League is on Stan Sport ($20). Then there is Netflix $23, Binge $18, Amazon Prime $7, and the grand total per month would be $129 per month, if I wasn't sharing……

      Not sure about you, but I consider $130 per month a bit expensive.

      Fyi, I was not slinging mud, I was just trying to get in touch with kedaking to sort out the issue with my Kayo account not working. Unfortunately kedaking changed their username to vinnychase without telling me, and also would not answer the messages I sent to their mobile. So I mistakenly assumed I got scammed, and created this post to see if others had a similar experience.
      It's all sorted now, but would never have come to this if kedaking/ vinnychase just responded to me in the first place.
