Was browsing at IKEA Tempe last night and saw this single bunk bed with desk on sale near the check-outs. Very solid and sturdy unit.
Bought one for my "guest room + study" and paid $69 for metro Sydney delivery as there were total 6 boxes and they're too big for my hatchback.
At least 10 sets available by the looks of it.
Saw them last week at Ikea North lakes by checkout as well. Very nice unit.
So much room for activities.

how tall is the bed? desk head room?
I didn't have a measuring tape with me but I did try it with a dining chair taken from the bargain corner.
Being 5'6" tall I had about 4 to 6 inches head room while sitting in front of the desk.
I got this last year and it is 1.41m from the floor to the base of the bed where the desk is. Great bed, you just need to buy the draws and doors of the cupboard as they aren't included

Note that IKEA may have slightly different dimensions for each region because of the different "standards" in mattress sizes. e.g. the American's "Twin" size may not be the same as Australian's "Single" bed.

We bought one of these for our grand-daughter and making the bed was a nightmare. The grand-daughter had to get on to the bed to put the sheet on herself but with her weight on the mattress it was difficult for her to lift it to get the fitted sheet on and she is below the weight she should be for her height age.
They also have them at ikea springvale
Got 2 of these last year, nice sturdy unit. They won't display them on the website as there is a sizing discrepancy for where the mattress goes that means they are clearing stock of them.
what do you mean? whats wrong? Does their mattress not fit this properly? does it fit a standard single?
Fits a standard single, but from memory the sales person said that the space was larger than the standard Australian single mattress size. Not sure why that matters, but that was the reason we got 2 with all the added extras so cheap.

Saw a few pallets load of them 2 weeks ago in Logan, but they put a note there saying all of them are seconds due to manufacturing errors.
It's about the paper peeling out from the board or something like that.
North Lakes store last year had these really cheap. Had a sign on them saying the dimensions were off and a standard mattress left a big gap and hence the discount.
How much? If be willing to get one if real cheap.

bought 3 today. some are still avail at Majura at $249 (60% off). Don't bother to ask the staff as they coudln't find it in the comp. I left the store but decided to check it out and found them in the area close to the check out. Get a trailer as they are quite heavy and long.

try with a different staff. they held the 3 items for me until the afternoon (after payment). it was xmas presents, bday and xmas for the next 5 years. i told my children but it didnt go so well.

I took the risk and went down to the Adelaide store at 5:00pm yesterday (Thursday). There were about 10 units on the floor in the sales areas near the tills. Very glad to pick one up at this price - thanks OP.

They have them in IKEA Richmond as well
