Hey Guys..
Just wondering if there are any workarounds to booking an Emirates (EK) flight with Qantas (QF) Points…Ever since COVID I havent been able to find reward seats on EK flights via the Qantas Portal. Are there any workarounds I can use?
I have 900k points with QF and we are flying from BNE-BOM-BNE in July, Ideally I'd like to fly J but I can only do that with points at the moment! Any help would be great!!
Echoing @stirlo on this, there's a lot of demand right now so you need to book very far in advance (or, occasionally, extremely close in to catch last minute cancellations).
Also be aware that surcharges on Emirates award seats have skyrocketed this year, making points redemptions far less attractive than they used to be - so you may get better value redeeming QFF points on Qatar/Sri Lankan/Malaysia/JAL/Cathay instead
To get reward seats you want to be booking as far out as possible (297+ days), on an unpopular airline and not at a peak time. You failing on all these counts. July is peak and you're trying to get rewards seat 2 months out on an in demand airline. Not a chance.
