I've got a few Romoss power banks. They've been good except the very first one which was DOA.

I'd recommend getting a slightly smaller capacity (27000mAh and below) as the 30000mAh technically requires permission from the airline.

    • yep second this. get 20k mAh

    • they really check ? just slightly more should be fine in theory ?

      • That's why I wrote technically. Should be fine but you might get someone having a bad day.

The reason why you can't put batteries in check in is because they might cause fires and staff need to be able access.

        • @Caped Baldy
wait you said check in? well if im travelling on the plane i will carry this on with me to the flight;s seat - so 30k mAh are okay?

          • @CyberMurning: You can't check in any batteries as the batteries might catch fire.

You can carry on up to 27000mah or so in a single battery pack without permission. Technically you can carry on more but need permission

I've had mine checked in BKK.

Got the 20+ some time back - works like a charm. Price is nice. Good airline advice from Baldy.

I currently have 7 Romoss power banks in use at home. They have all been solid.

I have the 20+ version of this and it’s my favourite.

  • Got one of these without the fancy display.
Thing is a brick. But also performed fine. And yep has enough juice to charge tablet a few times per charge

  • I wish Ramoss have wireless charging. Haven’t seen any

    • +2

Wireless charging probably too inefficient to make it worth adding to a power bank

  • Can u charge two devices at once with these?

    • +1

You can charge up to 3 at once

any 20+ with good price now?

  • I'm trying to figure out the difference between these 2

    https://www.amazon.com.au/ROMOSS-30000mAh-Portable-Charging-…

    • one has screen for reading battery remaining other does not

      • $1 difference XD

Check if passthrough is supported if you need that.

Can I take it on flight? Like Qatar airways, Emirates etc.

    • +2

Probably not, as mentioned before there is a capacity limit. (It's 100 Wh)

The recommendation of 27000mAh is almost exactly the 100Wh limit at 3.7V.

30000mAh at this voltage would exceed this limit.

ROMOSS don't appear to sell a 27000mAh pack, but go in 10000mAh increments. So the next one down is this 20000mAh pack at around ~$24.74 at time of writing.

  • My 20 from last year worked well… For about 2 months of light use then would not charge things. Still need to try to sort out replacement

  • Passthrough supported, can be used as UPS for usb powered devices, eg cameras emergency leds.
