  • Is it in warranty? take it back

  • can you help please with a diagnosis thankyou

    Broken wire?

  • Not sure people here will be able to help with large diesel generator troubleshooting, try your local Kubota dealership

    • If it is anything like my local Kubota dealer, OP didn't want to mortgage their house just to take it in the front door.

    In English…

That a pretty legit generator. Sorry I can't help except for making your question easier to read.

    • "suppling 33 amps at 240 volts."
      Should charge a phone easily…

  • Welcome to OzHelpDesk.

Maybe make your very first contribution something more than an ambiguous demand for help? And if you're going to ask for help, we're going to need WAY more troubleshooting from you to offer any meaningful assistance.

Have you tried asking, I don't know, the retailer you bought if from??

    • I've noticed a lot of users recently have only ever posted questions in the forums - i.e. a lot of take but no give.

Probably a snobbish view, but IMO users should have to post a decent deal first before they get to do forum posts… this is a bargain hunting website after all, not Whirlpool.

    • Spends 10 grand on a generator.. comes to ozbargain to diagnose a fault

      • Very good chance it was purchased at an auction for significantly less than $10k.

        Or maybe not.

Have you measured the flux capacitance across the rotary encabulator?

    • Have you tried turning it off and then turning it on again? Is the monitor plugged in? Is the power light on? Is the ethernet cable plugged in?

  • Do you have ac voltage out of the stator windings?

1.5v seems low at the brushes, I would expect 12v ish.

  • Has it been a while since it's been used? When mindlessly surfing youtube one day I found out that some generators are self excited, and if they aren't used in a long time all residual magnetism dissipates. The motor will spin but no power will come out.
