    great deal, especially combined with 14 day free deliveroo plus trial but wow Deliveroo know how to add service fees not to mention the cut they take from the restaurant (who already inflate the prices to cover this)

  • Dinner from Dominos came quick last night seeing they use their own driver. But now ordered Betty’s Burgers and has been stuck on preparing your order for an hour. Says we’re delivering lots of orders right now and we’re finding a rider to deliver your order. Seems they don’t have any drivers out here hopefully not waiting all night to not get it…
    Took half an hour before the place even accepted my order

    • Credit where it’s due Betty’s just called to basically say this happens regularly where the drivers just don’t show up and the food is ready. Had to live chat deliveroo for a refund and it took asking three times with them saying they can’t for them to cancel… whatever you do odont order from places that Deliveroo does the deliveries.

      • can second this, one of the reasons I am reminded why I don't use Deliveroo, order showed as due for delivery from GyG 6:10pm in a 6-6:30 delivery window then it just kept moving saying their riders were busy delivering other orders, finally turned up at 7pm thankfully it was still warm

        how do you live chat I tried everything but couldn't find the option

    Been a day and some. Checked the box for promotions emails but the second link hasn't shown up. Has anyone gotten support for this haha.

    Just checked my emails, I've never received a single email from deliveroo. All my email options are toggled on under my account.. ah well

      Used second voucher tonight (pick up this time) and got the third voucher, 15 minutes later.

      • Used 1 each day so far (all:pickup), 4th email arrived minutes after last pickup.

        • yep got 3rd voucher, ordered for earlier delivery & no dramas this time

    Not sure why some receiving 2nd, 3rd and 4th email no issues but some never got the 2nd email.

  • can you use credit towards the delivery fee? i ordered kfc 20% off and must of had some other account credit as it worked which i found strange as i though it excluded delivery fee? had to wait a long time first said to be delivered at 5:45pm but only came at 18:41 cant complain for $1.31 out of my pocket for kfc

    Every single order i've done has been delayed by 30-60mins and arrived cold and just crap. This is suburban Sydney. Really, really bad. Thank god i was only out of pocket $3 max per order as that's all it was worth!

    I think this promo sums up the state of affairs at Deliveroo. Desperate, incompetent, and failing. The sooner they die and leave the Australian market the better.

  • Just placed my second (free $30 credit order) and recieved the third code within 5 minutes of the delivery arriving. I was also given someone else's order so after contacing deliveroo I can keep it and they are now sending my original KFC order :-)

  • Fkn bullcrap from Deliveroo. I called them and they asked me to email them copy of the offer. No response after 2 days.

      • Yes. I do have a small gift card balance of $1. So I'm not sure if it's related but it shouldn't

          I emailed them and they didnt seem to understand, they said yes you had a $30 credit which you have used…..but didn't say anything about the other 4.

    Attempt #1 - ordered dinner, no food appeared 30 minutes after the delivery time, called up the restaurant and they said they haven’t accepted Deliveroo in years. FML.

    Attempt #2 - learned my lesson so I’ve gone ordered KFC this time. Scheduled for 12:30, no food appeared at 2:30 so I called up KFC and they’ve said your food been sitting here waiting for a driver. The bloke gave me a pro tip: there’s hardly any deliveroo driver in my area so never use deliveroo.

    Never had any issues with Doordash or Uber so this is uniquely a Deliveroo problem.

    • yeah it's been hit & miss, order 1 was 60 minutes late (was ready ontime by time printed on receipt just no riders to deliver (despite being in a central location), order 2 on time but I ordered at an earlier time, order 3 after an hour still not accepted by restaurant so I cancelled & asked deliveroo if restaurant was actually accepting orders all they could tell me was that they were still on their platform & gave me a free $20 voucher (I hadn't complained at all so good on them). Order 4 (voucher 3) was pickup the restaurant had forgotten to notify it was ready but I arrived and all sorted no worries (not deliveroo's fault just restaurant user error).

      Think I need to take it easy cook some of my own food & then use the final vouchers

      Up to 7 days for each voucher…..I used 4 of mine up just in case they stopped the promo early, I have 6 days left on my 5th voucher. $150 of free credit with no minimum spend has never been seen before!

        Weird used first voucher last night then received new voucher email (valid for 7 days from email) however when added to the app the expiry is 3 days from now (original expiry from email 1). Oh well happy eating for me the next 3 days!

  • Got the first two vouchers… on the second… KFC or the Driver forgot half of my food, so I got a credit for the $31.95 back… haven't received any vouchers since then.

    I spoke to Deliveroo support and they are giving me the run around. Sounds like false advertising to me but oh well… $90 worth of free food is a good run.

  • there must be an issue with their ordering system today. placed 3 separate orders via the desktop pc and kfc and hunrgy jacks and none of them could see the orders when i called so had to cancel them. wasted 3 hours of my life today.

    • id like to know that too as i still have 2 more to go and kfc order today not sure if it will ever show up already 1 hr late. so as soon as my order is delivered and i get another code in 10 mins i think its best to place a preorder for tomorrow.

  • The third voucher after the 2nd order delivery today was expiring in 1 day but the next voucher shows expiring in 7 days on the app. But all the emails saying expiring in 7 days. So have a look in the App offers for the exact validity.

    so each email is valid for 7 days so the voucher will be if you redeem immediately

    have redeemed all 5x $30 credit. didn't end up paying any money to them.

    my first order was picked up by a dodgy driver. I ended up getting the $30 credit and an extra $20 credit back to my account to pay for my next 4 orders.

  • Worked all good for me, got $150 of free varying quality foods.

    Surely they are being too generous and won't recoup the money? I will use Deliveroo in future, but only occasionally - no more than I did. Menulog is the dominant one in my town.

    Ordered pickup only. Tends to be a lot faster/simpler.

  • I received the first $30 voucher and used it for an order, rounded it up to $30 exactly by giving the rider and restaurant a tip. Never received my second email/voucher after 2 days and this is what Deliveroo support replied to me:

    Thank you for emailing us. As we checked your account I'm seeing here that with the order you placed last 06/02/2022, you received the $30 voucher and used with your order last 06/08/2022 and because of that you did not received the 2nd voucher since this order paid with a credit. To make it short you will not receive the $30 voucher if the order was paid with credits.

    Now in the initial email from Deliveroo it did mention 'Credit not redeemable on delivery charges and cannot be redeemed for cash' but the order still let me add on the rider tip so I was thinking it only applies to the restaurant delivery fee. I will send another support ticket to ask why. Updates to follow (down bad on the ASX so I NEED these credits)

    Deliveroo support creditted me $120 after going back and forth with them over not receiving my credit post 1st order. Not bad.

  • well let's just say that was a generous deal thanks Deliveroo, service wise it was hit & miss due to availability of delivery riders or restaurants not acknowledging orders, customer service was good but it would help if you could live chat to them when you have a live order which is constantly being delayed. One order nothing ever happened you would think Deliveroo would chase up but in the end I just cancelled and to be fair to them they gave me a $20 credit plus the voucher was unused

    Update to my last post, after 5 emails back and forth with deliveroo support I was give a $120 credit which expires in 15 days. Will use that money to pay off my crypto debt

    • Do you mind telling what's the email to contact support? I never received the credits for the next 4 orders too.
