Good to use even as desktop mic for zoom calls, gaming etc. no need for boom arm. Simple and just works well.

I bought a fifine for $40 and then a better stand (didn't like the 3 legs one) for $24.
Overall happy but this would have been cheaper and smaller

    • Does being a condenser mic mean that it picks up and echoes the other people you are in call with, if their voices are coming out of your monitor speakers?

      • I use it with headphones, I imagine if I had speakers on it would probably pick up at least a bit of the sound from that, as in isolation may not be the best.

Can only talk about the fifine but assume it would be similar.
My mic sits in front of the monitor's speaker. No one complained of feedback/echo from the speaker.

This is a fairly regular sale price, and the HyperX SoloCast is the better option of the same design when it's on sale at similar levels, but this is a solid deal.

    • I have had the Solocast and it works properly for stereo two channel which the Razer does not.

      • Have Razer still not fixed that driver issue?

    • SoloCast is better option if you have boom arm, but if using purely as desktop mic, then Razer is better as it would pick up less vibration and desk bumping sounds.

Razer product are great but stay away from their bloatwares

  • How is this with computer fan noise? I have a stupid amount of fans in my case which is on my desk, around 50cm away from where this mic would be placed
