It seems too many ex-reamped customers have tried to switch to Nectr so they’re closed to new customers now.
This is a shame as they have decent 12 month fixed price rates, at least here in SEQ

Damn this was my next move after Momentum Energy (18.43c Single Rate). Not sure how long this one will last.
I should have just gone straight to Nectr for the 12month fixed at a slightly higher rate.
Tried last night to go to Nectr - quotes were working but referral code screen broken.
Tried again this morning - no new customers.
I signed up successfully. Got the referral credit and all.
I assume you signed up before they stopped taking new customers?
Hmm, yes I realise now they’ve removed the buttons on the page. Must have just slipped in
Ozbargain backfired on me - could have got in last night if not mucking around with referrals.
But could be a godsend. reAmped are desperately asking (rather than advising) customers to leave (multiple emails and sms today and yesterday) - must be haemorrhaging bad.
reAmped Customer support said they'll be back when market conditions recover. With 30 or so energy retailers disappearing in the UK recently, Nectr could also go the same way, especially with fixed rates.
Nectr are owned by a $50BN Korean company. They can afford to lose money for a while. Their strategy is to get everyone onto their VPP in the long run.
That's good to know. Thanks.
any other fixed rate options?
I ended up going with Red Energy who indicate fixed rates until 31 May, 2023. Rates not as good as Nectr - maybe better options around, I just didn't want to spend all day finding gotchas.
i signed up last night before the cut off and got confirmation today:
As of last night we placed a temporary hold on accepting new customer
due to unprecedented increases in the wholesale energy market, but
your switch has gone through. Please note, we took this action to protect our existing customers (
of which you are now one) from price increases. The influx of new sign-ups has overloaded our hard-working Nectr
customer care team. They’re now working around the clock to onboard
all our new customers. So, we expect you to officially transfer to Nectr on 30 June on the
plan you signed up to. Just a reminder, you have a 10-business day
cooling-off period that started today.Until we begin accepting new electricity customers again, we
recommend you share the Nectr love by mentioning our solar options to
any friends who own their property (with a house that can take
solar).
I recall the ozb referral system had only 50-ish users on Sunday when I sign up, and today there are 111 users…
It looks like they're accepting new customers again, so referral codes seem to be working.
where is the referral code? thanks
pm me please
how do i get a referral code please?
Send me a DM
Is someone able to send me a referral code please?
send me a DM please
Hi, can I get a referral code please also can someone tell me the difference between their green power and 100% clean plans. Later is cheaper but is there a catch?
Thanks in advance
enable private messages or send me a private message
i think 100% clean plan is 100% carbon neutral, 100% green is from 100% renewable energy
Done, thanks
I moved to Simply Energy for now since it's showing the cheapest rates for me. It's not a contract though - I couldn't find any decent provider offering contracts.
