        • Hi Murph688, not a problem. If you'd like to email us the issue you're experiencing at Retail AUS <[email protected]>, we will see how we can help. Cheers!

          • @AustinBlack: @AustinBlack
Reaching out as I'm unable to add the $100 Home card I just bought despite trying for numerous time. Error message: Could Not Add Card. Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information.

Could not find any information on myprepaidcenter.com.au FAQ. Looking forward to your help. Thank you.

edit: I've no problem adding my bank credit/debit cards (Visa) to my Apple wallet.

      • Thank you AustinBlack, Just PMed you.

  • +1

Surprised the vote count isn't higher for this deal - this beats hunting for physical cards in coles/woolies when catalogue specials are on

  • How long until I can swap this gift card I purchased? Any last date?

    • +1

Hi TaurusHead, you have 3 years to swap the Ultimate eGift Cards for Gift Cards.

      • Is this 'swap' the same as 'redeem'? I'm a bit worried about the security issues if I activate them and keep them on 'my prepaid centre' instead of using them instantly.

Is it safe to activate them or just let them stay in my mailbox before I need them?

        • Best to keep them in your my prepaid centre :)

  • Thanks for this! Just got Ecovacs Deebot N8 Pro for $525.69 at JB online C&C. Standard price was $799. (Discounted to $649, then applied the 10% off storewide code, and 10% off that via Ultimate Home eGift card.)
No issues with the gift card apart from my antivirus blocking myprepaidcentre.com.au due to 'phishing'.

  • I managed to add 4 of these cards to my Google Pay, but the 5th card I'm getting an error.

There was a problem retrieving card information.

EmailCustomer Service is not helpful and there's no phone number to call.

    • When I add the 5th to Apple Pay I get an error too. I can only add more when I remove the others

      • OK good to know!

      • Good for you. I can't even add a single $100 Home card I just bought to my Apple wallet while I've no issue adding bank credit/debit cards. Now I'm waiting for giftz.com.au to investigate.

  • Why i am unable to purchase the gift card

    Tried credit card declined
    Tried zip pay declined

    Any way to get around

  • credit card declined while purchasing the gift card.

    • same :(

  • Trying to wrap my head around using multiple cards in one transaction. If I want to purchase a TV worth $5k, can I just buy five gift cards, go in store and use all 5 as seperate visa transactions?

    • I’m assuming you’re referring to JB Hi-Fi or The Good Guys? If so, that’s fine. Staff shouldn’t have any issues letting you use multiple Visa cards in one transaction.

      • +1

Yep JB. Thanks for the clarification!

        @WM
Hi mate, just PMed you for advice. Have a look. Thanks.

        • Can I get the advice as well please. Looking to do same for a fridge at TGG

          • @ar7ist: A couple of questions before I can dish out relevant advice:

            • How much will the fridge cost?

            • Are you paying for the fridge in-store or online?

            • @WookieMonster: Thanks Wookie for the reply.
Fridge should cost about $1200-1500. I am planning to get a washing machine and dryer as well so total cost could be close to $3000.The aim is to get them in one order to avoid multiple shipping costs.
              Would probably be buying online.
I have already bought $1000 Home gz from Giftz and will be buying more once I know how I can make this work.

              • +1

@ar7ist: It will be tricky to do this online.

NOTE: the following advice is only relevant to the regular TGG online store. If you’re looking to purchase from TGG Commercial, you cannot use any TGG gift cards, so you can only use one Ultimate eGift Card on TGG Commercial (i.e. purchases of up to $1,000).

As you probably figured out by now, you can only redeem 1x Ultimate eGift Card on the regular TGG online store, which means you can only redeem a maximum of $1,000 in Ultimate eGift Cards on the regular TGG online store.

If you want to complete the transaction online (because of cashback or whatever other reason) and the transaction is over $1,000, you could convert some of the Ultimate eGift Cards into TGG gift cards. There are a couple of issues though:

                • TGG does not officially allow you to purchase TGG gift cards using Ultimate or TCN gift cards. However, it is up to staff to actually enforce this policy and I don’t think it is widely enforced at TGG.

                • If you go to the TGG website to purchase a TGG gift card, you’ll be asked to purchase the gift card through a third-party (True Rewards). My guess is that you will not be able to use Ultimate eGift Cards as a payment method on True Rewards, as True Rewards is not listed as a participating retailer in the Ultimate eGift Card program. Let’s just say that I would be mortified if you could use Ultimate gift cards as a payment method on True Rewards…

                • The maximum denomination of gift cards TGG sells online (via True Rewards) and $500, and I believe it is the same for TGG gift cards sold in their stores. The issue is that you can only redeem a maximum of two TGG gift cards through the regular TGG online store. If you want to make a purchase over $2,000, it won’t work through the regular TGG online store.

It may be easier to go in-store (especially if you live near a TGG store) to complete the purchase. You will lose out on cashback from Cashrewards or ShopBack, but you can redeem multiple Ultimate eGift Cards and multiple TGG gift cards in one transaction.

                • I once used four TGG gift cards to purchase an item in-store at TGG.

                • Someone else used 20 TCN gift cards to purchase TGG gift cards in a TGG store. (TCN gift cards and Ultimate eGift Cards are handled like regular debit/credit cards, which indicates you can redeem multiple Ultimate eGift Cards in one in-store transaction.)

You should check with your local TGG store to see what the maximum denomination is for TGG gift cards. If it is a maximum of $1,000 per gift card and staff are happy to sell you nearly $2,000 in gift cards, you can get 2x TGG gift cards through a TGG store, then go back home and make the purchase through the TGG website using 2x TGG gift cards and 1x Ultimate eGift Card. (Don’t forget cashback if your items are eligible for that too!)

Alternatively, you can call TGG’s sales phone number and see whether they can stitch something together for you. I have heard that TGG can get around the two gift card per transaction online transaction and redeem multiple TGG gift cards on your behalf (or even redeem multiple Ultimate gift cards).

I’ll leave it up to you to figure out the best way to approach this situation.

        • Can I as well?

          • @softkun123: What advice are you looking for?

            • @WookieMonster: Hey wookie any tips for me. Tv from jb hifi 1100ish. Best way to maximise discount etc

              • +1

@Jono258: If you want to use the 10% off JB Hi-Fi coupon code (which expires in ~4 hours):

                • Purchase 1x Ultimate Home / Teens / Kids eGift Card for ~$1,000

If you are not interested in using the 10% off coupon code:

                • Purchase 2x Ultimate Home / Teens / Kids eGift Cards - 1x $1,000, 1x ~$100

                • Either go in-store to pay for the TV using the 2x Ultimate eGift Cards (which is easier), or use the Ultimate eGift Cards to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards in-store (easier) or online (harder) and then use the JB Hi-Fi gift cards to purchase the TV online.

Read this comment (if you haven’t ready), as it will help to explain a lot of the ins and outs.

      • Hi, If I want to buy item from BBQ Galore for $349, is it ok to buy it online? if so, how to pay for it on BBQ Galore site: 1* Redeem gift card or 2* by credit card? I have not bought the Home egift card yet. If by credit card, do you need to enter CVC/CVV details? Thanks

        • I just checked the Ultimate gift card website, and it says you can redeem an Ultimate gift card in-store or online at BBQ Galore, as well as exchange the Ultimate gift card for a BBQ Galore gift card.

          It would be easiest to:

          • Purchase 1x Ultimate eGift Card with face value of $349 from Giftz.com.au.

          • Follow the instructions emailed to you to activate the Ultimate eGift Card.

          • Enter the Ultimate eGift Card’s details into the credit card section of the checkout. Ultimate eGift Cards are prepaid Visa gift cards that can be redeemed at a list of participating retailers, so they have a 16-digit card number, expiry date and CVV that can be used for online purchases.

Order got canceled when try to use 2 JB gift card and one of this Ultimate Home as credit card. Sales person says the card could be flagged by the system and had to call or email them to clear the restriction.

JB cancelled my order. Balance is now showing $0 on my card due to the pending transaction. Does anyone know how long it takes to be able to use it again?

I've been told within 3 workings days the money will go back on the card. The money was taken off mine Tuesday evening and still not back on yet.

      • any luck on getting money back?

        • still hasn't come back on to the card.

  • This site can’t be reachedThe web page at https://giftz.com.au/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

    Is this normal?

    • Nope it is not normal, did you end up getting on ok?

      • Hi yes, it worked. It was the adguard that blocked the connection. :-)

        • Ah ok, glad you got through :)

  • Can someone confirm for me:
I purchase $420 HOME egift card. I need to use it to purchase an item via JB HI-FI ONLINE store. Can it be redeemed in one go for the full amount? So that way I can also utilise the new GC + existing JB GC's that I have from last year?

    • +1

Yes, but you need to be mindful of a few things:

      • The $420 Ultimate Home eGift Card is a prepaid Visa gift card that can be redeemed at a list of participating retailers (including JB Hi-Fi). In other words, JB Hi-Fi will handle the Ultimate Home eGift Card as a Visa card, not a JB Hi-Fi gift card.

      • JB Hi-Fi will redeem the full balance of your JB Hi-Fi gift cards before redeeming any remaining amount on a credit/debit card. For example, if you purchasing an item that costs $849 and you enter in the card numbers and PINs for $520 worth of JB Hi-Fi gift cards, the checkout will only redeem $329 from a credit/debit card. There is no way to force the checkout to redeem $420 from your Ultimate Home eGift Card unless you redeem exactly $429 from JB Hi-Fi gift cards first.

      • There is a chance JB Hi-Fi will cancel the online order after you make a payment using JB Hi-Fi gift cards and an Ultimate Home eGift Card. It seems as though their fraud detection systems may cancel high-value transactions if an Ultimate Home eGift Card is used as a payment method, and I suspect it is something to do with Ultimate Home eGift Cards being prepaid Visa gift cards (which cannot support a lot of security features available on most debit/credit cards, including 3D Secure). You can call JB Hi-Fi to get them to manually process the order, but it is another potential roadblock to be mindful of.

      • +1

        Thank you for the response.
Is a way around this to go instore & purchase JB Hi-Fi with the home gift card purchased online or will JB not allow this?

        • Yes, that’s fine (and honestly what I would do), as long as you tell staff you’d like to pay by card.

Don’t mention anything about paying by gift card, because you’ll confuse the hell out of the staff member at the checkout.

Officially speaking, staff are not supposed to allow you to use Ultimate gift cards to pay for JB Hi-Fi gift cards, but staff won’t be able to tell you’re using an Ultimate gift card unless they ask to see what card you’re about to use or you mention you’re going to use an Ultimate gift card as the payment method.

  • If my item is 1100, How can I use 2 gift cards to purchase? I tried using one gift card, but it says "insufficient funds" I do not have any option to add another payment method. Can anyone help?

    • Buy a jb gift card using your 2nd ultimate card. Then you can use both when buying your item.

      • I bought gift card but jb cancelled those transactions :(

  • Just a question. Can I use 2 ultimate gift cards to pay for an online order at jb? Thanks.

    • +1

The questions been answered multiple times in comments by WookieMonster. Be a bit considerate of his time and please go through the comments first.

But to answer your question, you can't do it. You need to buy jb gift card using ultimate and then you can use both.

      • thanks for your reply

    • +3

      No.

You can only redeem one Ultimate gift card in an online transaction at JB Hi-Fi, because JB Hi-Fi only lets you use one credit/debit card per transaction. (If you were not aware, the Ultimate gift cards being sold at 10% off through Giftz.com.au operate on the Visa network and are only redeemable at the listed participating retailers.)

The workaround is to use one or both Ultimate gift cards to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards (either in-store or via the JB Hi-Fi website), then use the JB Hi-Fi gift cards to pay for the online order. You can use an unlimited number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards to pay for an online order on the JB Hi-Fi website. If you want some advice on how to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards using Ultimate gift cards, have a look at this comment.

Keep in mind that it is against JB Hi-Fi policy to use Ultimate or TCN gift cards to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards.

      • You may find your online orders for JB Hi-Fi gift cards get cancelled (which happened to some people on Tuesday and yesterday, but not everyone), which would be especially problematic if you are hoping to use the 10% off coupon code that expires at the end of today.

      • If you decide to go into a JB Hi-Fi store to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards, tell staff that you'd to pay by card. If you mention anything about Ultimate eGift Cards as a payment method, you'll likely have staff cancel the transaction and tell you that is not allowed.

Personally, I would play it safe and go into a JB Hi-Fi store and use Ultimate gift cards to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards, but that’s because I can easily access JB Hi-Fi stores near me!

      • Thanks but the extra 10% is not available instore right?

        • +2

You’re correct in saying that the 10% off coupon code is only for online orders.

You’re only going in-store to purchase JB Hi-Fi gift cards using Ultimate eGift Cards as a payment method. When you get back home, you then redeem the JB Hi-Fi gift cards along with the 10% off coupon code on the JB Hi-Fi online store.

Alternatively, you could go in-store and explain you want to use the 10% off coupon code, but you also want to do the purchase in-store and ask to see whether they can adjust the price in-store for you.

          • +1

@WookieMonster: I agree I wouldn't recommend trying to purchase online my order got cancelled but the money got taken off the ultimate card and have to wait now for the money to go back on it. once it does I'll buy gift card in store but a quick question if I want to but a 450 jb gift card do I need to split them up because if I use the ultimate voucher on my phone to tap and go will it not ask for a pin number if it's over $200

            • @Murph688: I’m fairly sure you set a PIN for the Ultimate eGift Card when you activate it, so you can just enter that on the EFTPOS terminal if it asks you for the PIN.

I’ve also paid for purchases over $200 using Apple Pay and Samsung Pay in-store (not at JB Hi-Fi) where you do not need to provide a PIN to authenticate the purchase, because you authenticate on your phone using biometrics or a PIN. I assume JB Hi-Fi is similar?

          • +1

@WookieMonster: Thanks, yes i did go in store and they price matched the 10% online and also i just tapped my ultimate gc which i had added to my gpay.

      • +1

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it.

  • How long does this usually take from in review to actually getting it? I have been waiting for 2 hours now and no cards have gotten past the first email?

  • +2

If want to take advantage of the 10 % deal ending today, really recommend to go to a physical JB store to purchase JB gift card with any denomination you want using the Ultimate eGift Card (as credit card). It would save lot of troubles and no problem at all when buying $1000 for me today. Then the JB gift card can be used online easily (seems limited to 5 per transaction). Tried to use the Ultimate eGift Card to buy a $100 JB gift card yesterday online, order got cancelled and showing a pending transaction. Can't use the card until the money is back.

  • Thanks OP, bought Home e-gift card worth $349 and bought item from BBQ Galore on line, worked easy enough.

  • Just wanted to ask a basic question and I tried to read through comments but still wasn't 100 confident, as not bought through the site brfore

So if you were to buy one gift card for JB Hi Fi affliation and you want to purchase something and it be say 700 dollars. There is no issue with purchasing one gift and using that to use online?

Is there preference on which Ultimate card to purchase in terms of JB Hi Fi?

    Thanks

    • +1

Purchase Home, kids, teen. Either is fine as they all work at Jb hifi.

    • +1

There is no issue with purchasing one gift and using that to use online?

JB Hi-Fi’s sales system may cancel your online order, because:

      • Your order (~$700) is of relatively high value, and

      • Ultimate eGift Cards are really just prepaid Visa gift cards that can be redeemed at a list of participating retailers. Prepaid Visa gift cards do not have the security features that most debit/credit cards have (e.g. 3D Secure 2.0), which means that JB Hi-Fi’s bank is unable to verify whether you’re the legitimate cardholder. These security features don’t matter as much for in-store purchases, because staff can see you physically see you redeem the Ultimate eGift Cards.

A few people have had their high-value orders cancelled (and these were orders paid for with Ultimate eGift Cards), but they have been able to contact JB Hi-Fi and get them to manually process the order. If your order is cancelled for security reasons, I don’t know whether you’ll still have the 10% off coupon code honoured.

Additionally, if you don’t already have the ~$700 Ultimate eGift Card, I don’t know whether it will turn up before JB Hi-Fi’s 10% off coupon code expires. Something to keep in mind…

Is there preference on which Ultimate card to purchase in terms of JB Hi Fi?

Purchase an Ultimate eGift Card that has JB Hi-Fi as a participating retailer. It doesn’t matter which one (Home, Teens, Kids), as they all have the same bank identification numbers, so JB Hi-Fi’s systems would have a hard time distinguishing between the three.

      • +1

Thanks Wookie as always for detail response. I may not take the risk

I was able to use 5 X 1000 Ultimate home gift cards for the payment of TV at JB hi-fi using Google pay.

    I didn't purchase JB Hi-fi gift cards.

I told at the counter that I would be using multiple cards of 1000 each. The guy at counter was surprised that multiple ultimate Home Egift cards worked.

    Special thanks to WookieMonster

    • +2

Same ultimate gc worked in store like a charm

    • On Google pay, did you just click on add payment method, enter cards details and save? I'm doing the same but its not working.

      • No . You have to do it via My prepaid Centre app. Instructions would be in an email.

Win win for me. Won $50 e-gift card as well as part of their click frenzy buck competition. Thanks heaps op.

  • Just got the $50 Click Frenzy Mastercard as well. And my parents too. We got $230 gift cards so that’s $157 for $230 value

As I said earlier, it wouldn’t be late and there’s nothing to lose
