ALDI Clearance Schedule?

Just wondering if anyone knows what Aldi's schedule is for marking Special buys to Clearance, and then how long before they are again marked down a second time?
eg Special buy come in on Wed and Sat and stays how long (a week?) on the main shelf, before being moved to the clearance? Then what, another 2 weeks(?) before being marked down again?

I was in on the weekend and saw a Segway F20A down to $399 from $449, and these have been seen as low as $299 so I'm guessing it's a matter of playing the waiting game to see if they last long enough for a second drop. I don't really need one, but if they drop to $299 I'll grab it.

    Generally speaking most of ALDI special buys stuff is actually more expensive than eBay/amazon/marketplace price. Even after the further markdown, most items will probably just match standard market price, occasionally some items will actually get a proper decent discount but that's quite rare dude (for that to happen no customer must buy that item for a long long time).

    The only upside from ALDI specials is that the returns policy is quite good, otherwise no point of buying expensive ALDI specials, quality is on par with standard generic eBay/amazon items too, so not like super high standard quality.

    For a decent markdown, I'd say something like 2-6 months that item hasn't been sold

      In this case the Ninebot F20A* is $700 on Ebay, $730 at Kogan and $700 on Amazon. My local Aldi has it for $399, and the lowest seen at Aldi is $299

    Are you asking which day of the week Aldi generally marks stuff on clearance? I recall reading that it was Tuesday (the day before the news Special Buys starts) but this was a very long time ago, I might have mis-remembered.

      Yeah there's two days in question:
      1. The day the original special buys go on Clearance - this sounds like the day before the next Special buy?
      2. The day the clearance items get a further discount - ie old clearance items get another price drop making them really good deals

      I've been lucky enough to get the odd item for the second sale price which is when you get the max bargain. The catch is of course, most good things get sold before then…

    It varies from store to store (based on manager discretion).

    My local store use to markdown previous weeks items special buys the day before the upcoming weeks (so every Tuesday & Friday evening), but since they renovated they rarely markdown anymore. Navigating my local store is a headache now, since they have unsold special buys items from months back…
