So I have a lounge/rumpus room type of situation where essentially, without the trimmings, looks pretty similar to the passageway in this ad
I am considering getting a similar hanging door installed, because maybe it could bypass paying to get architraves, jambs and formal doors installed.
The aim is to convert the room into a large downstairs bedroom which could be leased out for like under $150, because I don't use it for anything else so why not!
My issue with these hanging doors is I don't know what the go is with potentially having a lock on it. Also I'm terrible with my hands so will probably get someone from Airtasker for installation
Quoted around $1.2k to get proper doors installed before, so anything less than that is a win
So aim would be: Good value doors + installation that can convert room into a makeshift lockable bedroom
All advice and inspiration would be much appreciated!
more details on the room would be good
double brick or just plaster boards?
carpet or floor boards or tiles
if its plaster boards and something simple of the bottom i should be hard, juts need to find the stud going across, and then see if you have rails on the bottom so its slides and give it a bit more support
depends on how solid you want it
