Strike Bowling Fun Pass - What Is a Family?

Hi all,

Hoping to get some experiences from people who have this. I've looking to purchase a Fun Pass Family subscription as described here - https://funpass-funlab.com.au/home. I think $80 a month is very good value considering 2 people for 2 games of bowling itself adds ups to $70. What I'm trying to work out is how strict are they in checking who is actually using the entitlements.

The T&Cs state, "Family Pass plan is an allocation of activities available to families of all sizes, not specific to a set number of Adults and Children. Some activities on this pass may not be available to Children." It also states, "

Does that mean that me, my partner, my kids, my sisters and their partners and kids - are we considered a family and we can all go together under one pass. Do I have to nominate who the family is when subscribing or is the account just under my name. I tried to go through with a mock sign up to see; but the sign up process till the point of credit card entry did not ask for my name.

T&Cs also state, "Members must show ID upon check-in. Online bookings essential using your Funlab Fun Pass Member ID." However, not very clear on whether it is just my ID as the account holder or ID of each member in the family?

Hoping someone else has this pass and can provide some insight on how they have used it.

Cheers.

Watch the T&C's as well, if you were planning Friday / Saturday gaming -
    4. Days redeemable: Sunday to Thursday.
    5. Booking times allowed: Child before 8pm or in accordance with venue rules. Adult anytime.

    • Yes, I read those and am ok with those rules.

Family as in your family, aka your partner and your kids.

Your sister and their partner and her kids are your sister's family, not yours. They are classed as 'extended' family at best and not covered by this system.

Thank you. I wish they made this clear in the T&Cs.

  • This version of the fuin pass is crap.

It used to be $150 for 3 months of 1 person (and a friend!) being able to play 2 games of bowling / 2 x 9 holes of Holey Moley plus games at Archie or B Lucky and Sons EVERY DAY.

And that friend can be anyone.

This is paying more and getting less.

    • I dont think I could do EVERY DAY. We'll likely only do once a fortnight if that.
