Likely run by Mike Oxmaul
Seems like a good deal. $4099 for the 3090 PC. 3090 $2500-2800 now. Other parts will add to around $4k
that's what I thought. Most other sellers are are selling 3090 packages for over 5k
well at least they shelled out for the .au domain…
Never heard of or purchased from this website so can't be sure about the store's reliability.
I did notice the price of $3499 is for a 3080 Ti version, which is not mentioned anywhere else except the config area.
If the bottom and front case fans are configured as they are in the photo, I'd be concerned about cooling with either of these GPUs.
I'd at very least want the bottom 3 fans to be intake. It won't look as nice but the GPU could well overheat otherwise.
Sole trader company set up in December last year.
Not registered for GST which is somewhat strange as this implies annual turnover of less than $75,000.
Also, if you buy from the seller you could not claim as GST input credit.
Seems like a basic shopify template that isn’t even configured properly. And they’re meant to be selling top end computers.
You sound like one of those parents who are technology illiterate and assume if someone works in the IT, then they will be able to fix your slow internet browsing experience with 20 different ad-ons.
Selling computer hardware does not equate knowledge on how to configure a website.
That’s not what I mean. My point is they invested very little into the site even though they’re slinging thousands of dollars worth of hardware. I’m talking fixes that would cost 2 digits on airtasker and I know the margins aren’t that low.
Surely you haven't visited a MSY store or seen their infamous spreadsheet (which I actually like)
3090 with 24 Inch FHD 75Hz Monitor
LOL. Better off going to a different store and configuring it yourself or DIY.
Edit: I had a look at prices, seems okay. But I'd personally avoid.
Wasn't this posted previously…
The guy resells techfarce builds..
Hi all.
Late last yr I happened to come across MikePc after looking at numerous other custom PC stores both locally in Sydney and online in Australia.
I needed something for work within budget of 1500-1600 but also the most powerful i could afford and possibly upgradeable later on. Mostly for work but also for video editing, photoshop or gaming emulation (which is a low priority).
The website includes a chat which ended up being an actual person instead of a chatbot. I discussed what I actually need vs what they offered on their site and was actually surprised at what I could get compared to whats been listed in other sites.
While most of the parts in my pc were new, some parts were either refurbished or used? Pretty sure the case and possibly motherboard.. Cant recall exactly but this saved me $$$ which I appreciated. The fancy LED fans were switched to regular fans with no lights however the RAM and a few other things still light up.. fancy but the bells and whistles I opted out of so i can spend more on other stuff.
After much discussion with my workmates who gave me their thumbs up while also mentioning.. hey, these guys are in Adelaide. Not like you can drive by if something stuffs up with the order.. do you wanna risk that? I thought so.. so i confirmed the order and paid online.
Got stuffed around with shipping but thats the shipping companys problem, not MikePc's.
The shipping took a bit around a week longer than expected, and I got worried about what if this package gets lost, as the delivery status went from "due to arrive today" to "item has been shipped back to warehouse" because the drivers ran out of time and rescheduled for the next business day.. which ended up being around a week. In any case I contacted mikepc chat and asked hey… Ive paid for this item, what if its lost in shipping? Mike said theyre insured so I should still get a PC one way or another.
Eventually my PC finally arrives, my workmates visually inspect and I take it home. It all works! I wasnt ripped off! Wow!
HOWEVER.. a couple months later I went and checked the specs of my new PC and realised that I only had 16Gig of ram (2x8 gig) installed when on my receipt I had bought 32 gig!
I immediately contacted Mike and they apologised, mentioning that these things happen. Fair enough I thought. They didnt hesitate to make it right. It took a good few weeks but they came good and sent me 2 more 8 gig sticks of RAM. I contacted them again via the chat and sent them pics of me installing the RAM which Id never done before.
It all worked.
I took the risk and Im definitely happy with the whole purchase.
Id always prefer face to face shops or big established companies with big purchases but geez, MikePC is good by me and I will likely buy another PC for my son.
Hmm, MrJumo sounds sus.
Almost like he’s affiliated with mikespc.
No, but I’ve seen mikes apartment
