    and will refund back in 3-5 days!!!

    I was charged $100 (for the year plan), only once.

    But in the Amaysim portal (and app), below "Data remaining: 165GB", it says "Total spend: $500".

    Bizarre glitch I'm guessing, since my usage is minimal thus far…

  • Must be activated by 31 May - do you think that includes that day as well. I.e 31 May 11.59 eastern states time? Or end of 30 may 11.59? The Sim card coming to Perth will take a time..

    Is their server dead or something?

    Bought a $2 sim to activate on this, entered the sim number and it just kept on spinning and spinning.

    • Every time I try to buy a service it goes to the cart but then auto disappears and says there's nothing in the cart. Tried on Firefox and Chrome.

      • Tried it with a guest window on chrome, so no adblock or anything.

        Its not exactly inspiring much confidence.

        • LOL. I finally got it to work by adding a different product then adding the one I wanted. I'm sure it'll be smooth from here……….

          • @timbertron: Mine got to the plan selection, then port number, then stuck again.

            Guess I ain't going to Amay then. Given all the issues posted here, and now that they can't even get a basic activation page going.

    • Boost and Telstra prepaid are the only prepaid options. Rest are post paid.

    I'm existing customer. I contacted live chat and first two agents denied to match the offer for me. I tried one more time and third agent finally agreed to match the 150GB offer at 50%. Be persistent but polite and they will match the offer.

      Some existing customers negotiated it via customer support, couldn't hurt to try, some people kept trying different customer support personal til they eventually got a good one

  • Man… reception is so bad. Swapped from Boost mobile. Reception in buildings and train stations significantly inferior to Boost. This is Sydney CBD.

  • How long did it take to activate the sim? Website says 1-3 business days but I'm wondering if it's really that long. I thought it was usually a couple of hours

      Initiated porting at 8am, number was active around 10.30am. they say between 1h-3h

    • Activated on 30th, old sim died on 30th, can receive on amaysim but cannot call out, they assured me yesterday it would be working, still not.

    Still haven't received mine. Ordered 13 days ago. Last time I was with them, it took a while to get the SIM too. I feared this was going to happen. Maybe it will come today, who knows.

    • Got mine just now, ordered about the same time as you. Took so long to deliver I don't know why.

  • Porting over from Coles mobile. 1 day to port number. Still waiting on activation

  • Been on live chat twice today with these muppets. Porting from Kogan, initiated yesterday morning, still sim is not activated. They managed to kindly get so far as cancelling my number with Kogan last night, so I’ve had no mobile reception for 24 hours. Now escalated to the porting team, which apparently I can expect a resolution from within 24 hours. Woeful.

    • It's often the fault of the current provider. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Kogan blocking for some reason. I'd suggest to get in touch with Kogan too.

      • Will wait til tomorrow morning and see if anything’s happened, then will try as you’ve suggested. Apparently my case has been marked as priority.

    • I'm having the same issue porting from Catch Connect. I actually have reception on the amaysim sim card but the activation isn't complete (can receive calls but can't make any, no data either). Contacted live chat and they said it's still "processing"

      • Funnily enough my sim actually got to this point too, after being on SOS all night, this morning randomly showed amaysim and 4g available, but nothing worked. A few hours after my first live chat with amaysim it went back to SOS.

        • Hmmm ok can you let me know how it goes tomorrow? I may have to contact them again to escalate

              • @witherwings: Shocker. Just got off another live chat and they’re blaming Optus issues with porting. I got tired of waiting to hear from them 40 hours after my last chat, when 24 hours was the timeline given for receiving word. Once again it’s been flagged as urgent, which clearly means nothing. Once all is said and done, I’ll at least try and get something out of them as recompense for the massive PITA.

                • @Mr Idiom: I called 567 as other users have suggested and my sim is working now. But you have to push them to escalate it so it gets fixed immediately. Ask to speak to their supervisor if they just try and give you another ticket number

    • Yeah same issue, old sim went dead on the 30th, the day I activated, can only receive not send.

      Just read a whirlpool comment from 2013 w/ someone who had this same issue with Amaysim, it's not the previous provider blocking, it's Amaysims exceptional competence. Farrk ppl nearly a decade ago having the same issue.

  • I thought I could order with an Amaysim number and port my Belong number at any time but after an hour onto support this is not possible. Once activated, I need to port to another plan hence this deal is still tied to the Amaysim number and have to pay again.

  • With Coles mobile, number ported to AmaySIM but cant make outgoing calls or send messages. Incoming calls and text are fine. AmaySIM says number still porting. This issue since 4 days now. Anyone else experiencing the same?

    • Yes, was with Southernphone, at least 2 above w/ same issue.

      • Update: Issue got fixed.

        Tip: Dont get on live chat. Call them on 1300 808 300. Insist that you want to stay on hold while the issue is being fixed. Took about 15 mins but got resolved in the end.

        Finally, call from another number if possible so you can check if its fixed. All the best.

                  • @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: Yeah, my sim currently isn’t even detectable, says SOS only. I had a short period where it was able to receive calls/messages which was a couple of days ago, but then reverted back to nothing after a live chat. Their ‘help’ made it worse.

                      SOS mode hmm, try shutting phone off, remove and reinsert sim to see if that gets it back to receiving calls, long shot, moment you can recieve call 567 or what is listed on the Amaysim sim in contacts under Customer Care(customer care, yeah right)

                        • @Mr Idiom: Sorry to hear that, I hope you can have better luck fixing it tomorrow.. it's a pity you're stuck on SOS as that only allows calling 000, seems weird and odd that you're stuck on SOS, sounds like they may have deactivated your Non-AmazingSim.

                          I think there is a referral option in Ozb but I won't be inputting my Amaysim referral details as they are just to friggen good at supplying a service to us.

    Partially ported issue, as Going Broke said this resolved it for me, took 2 phone calls as I didn't stay on the line the first time, I did stay on the line the second time, w/ the device and sim that wasn't working I could see it had worked due to either a push notification or sms from Amaysim, however the Amaysim app died as soon as they fixed it, coincidence?

    If you can't call their 1300 number dial 567.

    • Thank you I called 567 and they sorted it out but it took over 30 mins.

      App stopped working as soon as the sim activation was complete but I can still log in on a browser. For some reason it says I have no data on my account?? However, data seems to be working fine for me so I think it's just a glitch on their end.

      • Same here can't log into app, deleted cache and data, rebooted phone, uninstalled and reinstall login with email or phone no. just gives a generic error, did think about trying a Web browser just didn't bother as that's just a small issue… app died around the same minutes service began to work… SMALL SIM, BIG LOVE and THIS IS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT as Amaysim slogans, wtf.

        Havn't seen inside my accnt. w/ data but I did bench it as soon as it was working, 11 Mb down and 14 Mb up. I usually expect higher down, but don't care, 11mnths of this plan I'll probably have 50gb left and won't give a care in the world about it.

  • For anyone still following, thought I would update my saga. After initiating port out last Monday, was disconnected from Kogan that Monday night. After a week of living in mobile limbo, just got connected this afternoon. Unlike some others who experienced difficulties, I couldn’t even receive calls and messages, only had sos capability. Numerous live chats and calls later (when I could borrow my wife’s phone within their operating hours), which included many unfulfilled promises, I got an email last night saying my account was activated. Just to rub salt into the wound, I then had sim failure after restarting phone and trying ejecting and reinserting sim. Asked them to express post a replacement sim, which they did and it is due tomorrow, but I restarted my phone again today and all of a sudden it works.

    Courtesy of my outrageous wait and inconvenience, I thankfully received a full refund for my payment, so will have a year of amaysim for free. Will obviously void cashback, but free is better than $42.50 in the end.
