adidas Men's Ultraboost 22 $150 + Free Shipping @ Sports Power Weir Group

170

Just came across this during my hunt for new sneakers.
For $150 this seems to be the best deal out in the market for UB 22s. Plenty of sizes available.
Never bought from the store before, but seems legit with rural VIC based shops. Could also try your luck with PM/PB local stores.

Women's Ultraboost 22 in Pink also here: https://sportspowerwg.com.au/collections/all/products/adidas…

They also seem to have UB 21 and 20 for the same price as well (which imho is not a bad deal either).

Picked up a pair thanks! This was a good local store in the rural town I grew up in (one listed on the website), so trusting it to be good! 2 day free shipping to Melbourne too.

Got the last 2 pairs in size 10.5! Thanks for posting OP

  • Does anywhere wear these casually or are they mainly for running? Cos that heal looking mighty chunky.

They're perfectly fine for casual wear, that's what I've been doing with my UB20s. The heel looks thick but it's not really. They're a smidge taller than your average sneaker, but by no means does it feel like you're walking on stilts, it's not noticeable at all.

        Thank you.
Ended up grabbing a pair of triple blacks elsewhere.

They are now marketed more towards running, which honestly they aren't great for, especially for the price, mainly limited by the sheer weight of Boost.

    • They're heavy for running I find, very comfortable for casual after the sock upper wears in though

    • they made the boost foam in the 21s and 22s a bit more firm so you might get away with a quick, short run in these.
i was running late for an appointment, sprinted about 500m from the car park and found my 21s, ugly as they are, were surprisingly good.

My goodness, 150bucks for casual shoes is a bargain now? I got the 21s for like 80 bucks few months ago. Better colourway too

I like the new style, but $150 isn't cheap lol

I'd definitely buy for sub $100, I got so many shoes I barely wear!

These look good in a range of their colours too

can someone explain why everyone on ozb is obssessed with ultraboosts? are they one of the best running/workout shoes?

    • +1

Its the ozb staple. Like eneloops.

They've just worked really well for me, whether that be for running/workout or just casual wear. Versatile, comfy to wear for long periods of time, some of the colourways look quite good IMO and they often go on sale for between $100-$150 which is a decent price for the shoe.

Give them a go, @Dealbot has posted a few deals where they average the $125 mark off the Adidas store.

they're okay for a light jog, but i mainly wear them for shorter walks on footpaths/even surfaces and going to the shops.
the boost cushioning is nice and forgiving; for longer walks or uneven terrain, i prefer my kayanos and pegasus.

they also have great grip (to the point of being annoying squeaky), which i don't find people mentioning enough. ymmv on how long the conti rubber lasts but i've worn a pair of dna_cc1's since August last year and they're only starting to wear more in the ball of the foot region.

only thing i don't like about them is it's sometimes hard to get your foot in, especially the ultraboost dna range. those have a lot more padding on the tongue as opposed to the more elasticy ultraboost 19/20/21/22s. i do cut into the tongue a bit to make things easier.

go to a shop and try them out
