the ps4 one is far behind the best bargain

    • +1

What do you mean by that?

      • +1

It's cheaper than the Xbox One and PS5 versions.

        • +4

I more meant the phrase "far behind". I was asking if they meant it was a good bargain or a bad one.

  • +7

If you an Xbox One/Series console, it's also on Game Pass.

    • Thanks to GPU I will never buy another game

  • Does the PS4 version have a free PS5 ugprade?

    • +1

      Yes. :)

      • Then y buy the ps5 version for more?

        • +2

          Free PS6 upgrade.

  • +3

    Fantastic game!

  • Does the PS5 hades have ray tracing?

    • Yes

  • +3

Could never get into this game. I die and do the same level again and again?

    • +1

Harder and harder, try different build everytime.

    • +4

Learn from your mistakes and you progress further

    • +1

As much as I did enjoy it initially, ultimately rogue-likes are just not for me. Even though you are technically learning and progressing, I just couldn't shake the feeling I'm always starting over again.

      • If you progress far enough you unlock a second life, then progress is much easier

This kind of game I much prefer digital.

    • -1

Agree indie games that dont take up much space that you can switch to and have a session anytime. Prefer them as digital rather than doing the disc swap

      • Very shiny collectible box though, worth it.

Picked this up as a part of the 2 for $30 sale from JB and its up there as one if the best games I've played this year. Would happily pay full price for it.

A genre defining game that is so full of content you almost wish it had microtransactions. Their other games are also fabulous.

  • Wonder when they’re going to price match Amazon $25 for far cry 6….still got my $10 voucher

    • +2

You can actually call JB up and price match Amazon. They'll send you a link via mobile to purchase the game via web, and you can apply your $10 voucher on top of the price match. :)

Thanks. Yeh, I’m too lazy to do that….also not sure they’ll knock me back for not being a brick and mortar store. 😅

  • Is there any for the Switch platform?

  • They should include the ps4 as part of 2 for $30.

  • +1

Honestly just gonna wait til it appears on PS plus

  • Is the game worth it? High ratings et al but I’m a bit skeptical about the look & the smallish landscape layout as compared to other PS4 games. Blame me for thinking so, playing Spider-Man atm…swinging across one part of NYC to the next…& it’s so vast & wonderful that I doubt I’ll be able to cover it all during the entire gameplay…

I was literally in the same boat. I just finsihed spiderman saw this and was so confused about its appeal. Graphics etc didn't seem that special. I've never played a rogue like before… I spent 8 hours on hades in 1 week. Before that I was playing 2 hours a week in my down time. One of the best games I've played ever. Don't have much to say about the story but it's just fun.

    • +2

In short, yes, the lack of any open-worldness in this game is easily made up for with the story and interesting game play!

      • +2

I was also sceptical about this game and gave up on it but was persuaded to keep going and after I got close to beating Hades the first time did I get hooked in. After beating the game the first time did the story line then got me playing it more.

Beating hades the first time was the start of the game in my experience.

That is true, this isn't the kind of game that uses the power of a ps4.

It's similar to a diablo like dungeon crawler, but faster paced and more based on skill than time invested.

A different genre of game, it wouldn't be fair to compare it to spiderman
