Hi all,
With all the ‘Leaks’ it seems all but confirmed now the DJI Mavic Mini 3 pro will be announced tonight. Is anyone going to be picking up this drone, is it the one you have been waiting for?

I am hoping they actually get released into stores tomorrow :)

That's the one with the "basic" controller - good to see they sell that option.
Have your current drone hold your place in line instead.
Considering it to retire my original Mavic Air.
thinking same thing
I guess it depends on the price tbh. There are rumours it will cost well over a grand. Maybe even $1100 or $1200. At that price I'd probably just fork out another 100 or two and grab the Air 2 or Air 2S. Looks good though, DJI have really outdone themselves.
The big advantage is that it'll be under 250g, though, isn't it? No more worrying about flight restrictions or registration.

$1119 with the normal controller
$1299 with the special controller
$989 with no controller
It's a massive upgrade in nearly every respect possible. No point getting the Mini 2 now.
Does anyone have a recommendation for where to buy it?
It's now listed for pre-release purchase at many places with later delivery over what seem to be arbitrary dates.
Either :
1. Discounts available over RRP
2. Likely to get it in Oz first?
3. Good service etc.

I am hoping that it causes the Mini 2 to drop in price.
I would buy it but it's sure not cheap and I'm a newbie.
Today is the release date. I'm interested to hear if anyone sees these actually available somewhere.
I have an order@RRP I can cancel.
Where is the mini 2 price drops
how is it comparing to air 2s? can see both price so close with the fly more kits, So tempting to get one…
The big advantage of the mini is that it's under 250g
thanks, but weight is really matter? Less weight so will be more difficult to film around coast site due to the wind?
Drones under 250g are exempt from the no fly zones that larger drones must adhere to. Having a drone under 250g means you can fly it almost anywhere. There are lots and lots of places where you can't fly larger drones, especially around cities.
@wombat81: i see, thanks, does it mean it can fly in sydney habour area also ? i just download app called 'open sky', you are right, many places are restricted to fly. Only knowing drone above 250g would be a trouble if flying in European countries…
@coast666: OpenSky is the app to use, yes. I don't know the specific rules around Sydney Harbour, sorry.
@wombat81: thanks, it seems this drone would a better choice to buy:)
JB HiFi now say "Sold out - Due to very high demand, this product is currently unavailable for purchase."

Guys and girls, what's the record lowest price for the Mini 3, with a controller (either one, I don't care, prefer cheap) and the fly more combo?
I want a Mini 2 but I'll be damned if I can find it for under $780 or so in the FMC.
If the Mini 3 is only $500 more in a FMC I may as well get the preemo model?
Thoughts.
Get the Mini 3 pro with the RC screen remote. It's amazing - truly amazing… Brick & mortar stores are the way to go to pick one up, you'll probably just have to suck it up and pay retail though.
I have too much good guys and jbhifi credit.
I can be patient, I just missed a deal where I could have got it under 1000 out of pocket
off to camp outside my local harvey norman to be the first in the world to pick one up of course
