Just looking at if there is any recommendations for a surface pro 4 screen replacement in Sydney.
Will be supplying the replacement screen and is thinking about having the SSD replaced (supplied) at the same time as well. So basically a labour only job.
Any idea on roughly how much that might cost? Happy to drive to surrounding suburbs as well. Thanks.
I actually have the parts already, just trying to see if there might be any good repair places that can handle it. If I don't already have the parts, ya, I would agree that would be a write off.

I had a Surface Pro screen replaced with these guys a couple of years back. They even picked it up from me at work and delivered it back again when done.
Ridiculously expensive. 450 to replace surface pro 6 screen. Better off buying a second hand replacement or upgrade to newer version.
What's wrong with the screen Systema? I had the flickering (flickergate) issue with mine and had the unit replaced under australian consumer protection
I'm very interested in this klendestined but from a slightly different perspective. I have a Surface Pro 4 suffering from the fairly common battery bulging issue - screen is completely warped and massive gap between screen and body now. Feels like I might have a similar claim.
How far after warranty expiration can you legit make a claim for something like this? Also, what is the first step in an ACC claim please? Many thanks in advance.

Nah, the whole thing is smashed and a bit of a write off. Just trying to see if I might be able to make it work again if the cost is reasonable.
Probably $200'ish for a 2 hour job plus $250'ish for the screen you're getting which doesn't make it economical for old hardware.
You'll want to tour the repair kiosks in mall and high street and ask them locally. Or consider doing it yourself?
