Hi all experienced stock traders, I have some Zip shares which I bought at around $6 and now it's plummeted to about $1. I am using SelfWealth app and not sure what it means when the price of when I bought it is now showing as $0 instead of $6…Can someone enlighten me? TIA.
What does $0 value for ZIP Co shares mean?

back then, never thought it went from 1 to 14 either , and now back to 1
Pamp and damp.
Where is the ASIC protecting investors?
Apparently they've got millions of shares being released from voluntary escrow up until June. That price is gonna sink through the floor. #notafinancialadvisor
Rug pull. 😆
Why did you hodl to -83%?
Umm. As a crypto enthusiast, isn't a 83% drop just a Tuesday for you?
Bitcoin's been riding a persistent -10% all week ever since Papa Buffet came out and said that cryptocurrency is basically a Ponzi scheme (i.e. what we're all thinking) and after maybe-Satoshi came out with his lolsuit against Coinbase. @rektrading on coperope watch 🤣
Old 🐀 and faketoshi has been good playing their part so that I can buy more at a discount.
I've been BTFD every day this week and just some more before typing this post.
he has been saying that for years since bitcoin was a $1000 ahaha same goes for jamie dimon
@Hvrd: Don't forget Peter Schiff.
He know about it in 2013 when the price was between $13 to $1,100.

@rektrading: LOL and he's still saying no, while his own son drops huge 💵 in the space 🤣 many lelz
-83% normal for digital assets.
-83% isn't normal for 💩stonks with a product, customers, cash flow, revenue and all that other stuff.
cathie's arkk was goddess in 2020 , but now 💩
@dcep: $ARKK is heavy in tech. It damping to Rona 2020 at $33.0 is possible.
I don't like ETF but may get some if it's oversold at $30.0
But don't you hodl your crypto to whatever value?
Only #Bitcoin.
Everything else is 💩coins is going -99.99% against Bitcoin.
Z1P became ZIP.
Thanks, I see what you mean. So then what happens to the shares I hold now as ZIP? So for 100 Z1P shares x $6, now I have only 100 ZIP shares x $ when I sell?
it's same units as before
just presentation problem on selfwealth due to change of ticker symbols
The shares should've automatically 'transferred to the new ticker name' (because in reality nothing happened, your Z1P shares are now ZIP shares). Depending on your broker though it might take a bit for the change to be visible on your portfolio. I don't use SelfWorth so I can't comment, but I remember I had a similar issue with CommSec for a day or so as one of my shares had its ticker name change which came up as $0 in my account for a bit until the change went through.
But it still sunk to $1. Changing name does not avoid the 1 fate.
I bought 200 around the same price, sucks to see how far they have fallen but can't bring myself to sell. Glad I didn't go too hard on them..
Cut your loss and use it to offset capital gains when you're rebalancing. BNPL will be receiving the regulatory hammer soon enough.
Ouch got out of bnpl before the crash that's a massive drop.
It's a ticker change if it's $0 now, they'll fix it, in a few days or a week. Surprisingly even with the major brokerages the ticker changes take a while to propagate .
Thanks for all the responses and tips.
Same boat man, will never ever in life invest a single cent where Larry diamond is involved again. I have lost quite a lot on it.
Zip only bloody cares on looting their investors.
He may change his name (like Z1P to ZIP).
Count yourself lucky it's not gone negative.
ASX stocks can go negative aye?
I bought at around $6 and now it's plummeted to about $1
I still got small amount of units at ~$3. My stop loss expired and I forgot to extend it :(
I guess be happy you didn't buy in at peak of ~$14, ouch!People who are 😁 to buy at $3.0 should be happy 😂 to buy at $1.0.
It's a -66% discount.
They changed their stock code from Z1P to ZIP. Just change your stock code to match and it will show current value again. Currently trading at $1.04.
Why did you hodl to -83%?
It's not coming back from that.
